The hat fits the top of my head but does not cover my ears which when I buy a hat I anticipate the hat to cover my ears, NOT!!!!!! This hat needs to be redefine "NOT" to say "ONE SIZE FITS ALL" but to say "ONE SIZE FITS MOST".

Nice hat, but I have a larger than average (ok, enormous) head with a lot of hair, and it tends to work its way up above my ears within the first few minutes of wearing it. I have to keep pulling it down constantly. I have another one that has the "cuff" at the bottom so it's tighter around my ears, and it doesn't have that problem. Other than that, it seems well made and warm.

I'll quickly talk about how this hat fits so you understand this hat vs other Carhartt hats. This hat will come down to half way down your ears and does not fold. If you're looking for a hat that will cover your ears and fold up and be warmer then look at the A18. Alright, the pros are quick and easy: The hat is fairly warm and breaks the breeze really nicely. It's a great fall hat but I wouldn't wear this in the winter because it doesn't fully cover my ears. If you wear earbuds under or headphones above, they will feel comfortable regardless of the hat. Ear saver noise protection will fit very snug with this hat. You won't loose any protection. If you need the label off, it's extremely easy to remove. The cons are equally simple: The hat needs to be handwashed, if you don't then it will shrink and pill. It says it on the label so read please. The hat retains moisture easily and doesn't ventalate so well so you might get sweaty and that sweat will absorb into the hat and cause more sweat. The moisture holding property of the hat causes it to smell easily so clean it reguaraly if you're active. In rare situations I've felt the hat ride up my head and kind of loosely hold on, I probably have a big head but be aware. Pros: Looks nice, cheap, warm for fall, removeable label, works well with headphones/earbuds/ear protection Cons: Handwash only or risk pilling and shinkage, holds moisture and sweat, can ride up your head. This is a fall hat that covers to half way down your ears, if you want one that fully coovers your ears and is warmer then get a A18.

I purchased this beanie to replace my heather grey coloured one that I lost. So technically this would be my second one. If your looking for a slouchy Hipster beanie this is not it. It's fitted tight to keep the heat in & does that 90's Snoop Dog beanie thing where the top stick up unless you pull it down all the way. It does come in nice variety of colours and a few patterns. Plus its MADE IN USA!!! It doesn't cost an arm and a leg either if you lose it or your gf or wife steals it like mine did.

So I have a big head and the girl version slides up my head and is very annoying. The girl version also isn't nearly as soft or long of a hat. This men's hat fits and feels amazing. Do yourself a favor and buy this hat. You'll love it and wear it every day like I do. (It looks great with my hair too, I love it)
