  • Love this jacket!!
Size: X-Large Color: Moss
I am a female who hates womens' clothing - flimsy, pinchy, no pockets, inconsistent sizing - and since I'm not blessed with curves, mens' clothing fits me better, anyway. I wear 32/32 mens' pants, and ordered the XL, because I didn't want it to be tight over a sweater/hoodie. In retrospect, the Large would have been better, but I love it and could potentially gain a bunch of weight, so I'm keeping it. I haven't owned a winter coat since 2014, when I moved away from Ohio. However, I lost some of my "natural insulation," so my hoodie doesn't cut it anymore, even living in Georgia. This coat is HEAVY. It will probably pull the command-strip coathook down, but it is WARM. The lining in the arms is gathered around the wrists, and the hood is shaped so that it keeps my ears warm even when the coat isn't buttoned or zipped all the way. The side pockets are weirdly small. They keep my hands warm, but I wouldn't keep my keys in there, because the pockets are shallow enough that they could fall out. Fortunately, it has PLENTY of other pockets that zip or snap, so reserving the side pockets for cold hands is OK. It's not something I'd wear to the opera, but I don't go to the opera, so that is fine with me. Personally, I like how it looks on me, even if it is a little bit oversized. I don't think I'll have to buy another winter coat for a long, long time, and that is delightful. ... show more

  • High Quality, Warm, Runs Larger Than Expected
Size: Medium Tall Color: Black
I’m familiar with Carhartt’s quality, but I wasn’t sure about the sizing. I’m 5'8" and 180 pounds, and I was on the fence between a size L and M. I have a Carhartt rainproof hoodie in size L that’s oversized on me—which was the look I wanted for that piece—but for this jacket, I wanted a more fitted feel. I decided to go with the M Tall. Even though I’m not tall, I wanted the jacket to be slightly longer. I’m happy to say it fits perfectly. The quality is excellent—sturdy and well-made—and the lining is very warm. The price was also lower than I expected. Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase. ... show more

  • Amazing jacket. Damn near a perfect 10/10. Medium Tall size fits beautifully for tall slender men.
Size: Medium Tall Color: Carhartt Brown
Very few negative things to say about this jacket. The material is great, the mobility is great, and the sherpa and quilted lining both feel really nice. The overall weight of the jacket is very welcome. They rate it as warmth level 2, but it is very warm and comfortable. Construction quality is superb, with tight triple stitching everywhere that counts. Only very small complaint is that the side pockets are a bit tight. I have to basically cram my hands in there. With Carhartt you get what you pay for, and are very rarely left disappointed. ... show more

  • I don’t know why people keep recommending the “tall” size
Size: Large Color: Moss
I am 6’1, 195 lbs, athletic build. Everyone kept saying “get a tall, get a tall” NO. If you like wearing dresses then sure, get a tall. I got just the normal Large and its fits perfect. If you like wearing hoodies underneath it then maybe go for the XL.

  • Excellent coat
Size: XX-Large Tall Color: Carhartt Brown
Got this as a gift for my pops and he loves it. It’s got the classic carhartt quality. The color is great. Sizing was a bit weird so we had to exchange it and size up from what he normally wears but all that aside, at least he’ll be warm in the winter.

  • Better Than The Standard Carhartt Jacket
Size: Large Color: Carhartt Brown
I wanted the standard Carhartt that I've been wearing for 20+ years; but it was discontinued. I took a chance on this comparable new style. It is better by half. My standard Large size fits better with this new jacket (5'8" and 190 lbs), more handy pockets, Sherpa fleece, hood, and even an extended back to cover my rear-end from wind and rain. ... show more

  • Sleeve cuffs WAY too tight!
Size: Large Tall Color: Gravel
**UPDATE: I returned the L/Tall via UPS drop off, cost me $8 for them to box it up (lesson learned). I now have an XL/Tall and thankfully have slightly more room for my wrists in the cuff area, still very tight in the bottom part of sleeves but at least it will fit over my gloves! This would be my favorite jacket if the cuffs were not so tight/ if Carhartt used the same larger zipper from the older jackets (small zipper will be a pain to zip in the cold for sure, as other reviewers have rightly mentioned)/ Also the hand pockets are small... so I changed my rating from 3 stars to 4. If Carhartt fixed these 3 issues, then this would easily be my favorite jacket! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm 6'3" and 230 lbs.,was in great shape back in the day (Lifted weights/ Army lean an' mean), but now I look like a weasel that's preggers... So anyways, this new Large/ Tall sized jacket fits tighter in the chest area than my old Carhartt Large/ Regular (old Carhartt was a cheaper hooded style/ basic model). The sleeves are tighter compared to the old style (maybe because of Sherpa lining?), but the BIG reason I am leaving this review and returning this product for an XL/ Tall is because the sleeve cuffs are SOOO tight!! Even the outer sleeve around the stretchy cuff is crazy tight, so no way to pull my sweatshirt sleeves through the jacket cuffs and absolutely no way for me to tuck my long wool gloves inside the cuffs. This particular jacket was made in Indonesia. I know that the same model of clothing made in different countries will vary slightly (goes for all brands), but I am not sure if it is a quality control issue or if this new upgraded jacket is sized differently compared to the old base Carhartt model. Another con is that the zipper is smaller, as others have mentioned. Pros: this jacket feels warmer than my old basic model, arm movement will be better (in larger size, lol). I LOVE the Sherpa lining! Also, despite having a smaller zipper, I absolutely love the snap-over buttons! It is absolutely worth paying more for the upgraded buttons and lining! I hate to leave less than stellar review, but I will update it after I exchange this jacket for a larger one... If it is a quick worry-free exchange, then I will up the stars. If not, well... ITS COLD AND I NEED A JACKET NOW!! ... show more

  • Love the carhartt
Size: Large Color: Black
I love this coat. I had one in xl and lost 30 pounds so had to buy smaller one. Exactly what I wanted
