This Rain Defender Rain coat is really nice! Neoprene type material is super water proof and insulates a bit too. It's quite comfortable and super functional - although the right side pocket doesn't have a fold over so it could collect water. BIG THING: These are RELAXED FIT and I'm an XL size and had to return it and get a Large size instead (Amazon return policy was seamless). The XL size was way too big - longer arms, bigger everything more like a 2XL. I got the Moss color and it looks sharp. Great color selection! Great jacket!

This Weather-Proof Carhartt Coat stands up against every situation I've worn it in. I build garages, additions, etc. buildings in general from start to finish, from layout to sided and shingled or metal roof. Outdoors for the most part year round, I don't take any part of the winters off. This winter It's kept me dry & warm through rain, snow, below freezing temperatures and strong wind. I wear a sweat shirt and hoodie underneath of this coat and it keeps me working comfortably no matter the weather. This coat will cover you & your tool belt, snow or drizzle ill drape the coat over my tool belt so my tools stay as dry as me, Leave some bottom buttons undone so tools are still easily accessible. Today was 18°F and I was fine as usual. The tough, durable outer material is not only strong enough to stand up to the kind of wear and tear that would destroy most work gear, but it still looks brand new at the end of each work week. Carhartt products are built last, built for hard working people. If you pair this coat with the Carhartt fleece lined pants you'll stay productive all winter long comfortably. You'll be unstoppable through any weather winter decides to bring to your work site. I've been wearing this coat to work all winter, only washed it once so far and I took these pictures today when I got home from work 12/20/2023 I wanted to test it thoroughly so I'd be able to leave a detailed review for others thinking about the Carhartt Rain Defender line. You won't be disappointed.

I had read many of the good reviews before I ordered this for my husband. The one man mentioned it ran big and to order one size down. My husband is 5'11" and weighs 195. He usually takes an XL in jackets, but I ordered him a large and it fits him perfectly! He likes it too! He said it was comfortable. The sleeves are nice and long also. Would definitely buy again, even though I had to pay shipping. It arrived quickly! I ordered it on September 30th and it was delivered on October 2nd!

I wanted a raincoat that wasn't plastic. It's well-made, warm and comfortable. I usually wear an XL but Carhartt runs large so the L fits just right. Would have preferred a detachable hood (not a hood fan). And the sleeves are fleece lined making it difficult to put on and take off, otherwise very nice. It should last a long time.

This Carharrt shirt jac/hoodie is excellent. It has the rain defender material on the outside to keep you dry in wet conditions. The jacket is nice and light weight, but still has enough to keep you insulated from the wind. The jacket fits really well. It wears more like mid-layer compared to most Carharrt jackets that leave extra room for layers underneath. This jacket can be worn over a single layer and feels comfortable, or can be worn over several layers without feeling restrictive. I really like the extended sleeve length you get with the Medium size. I prefer my clothing more slender in the chest and through the waist. But with other Carharrt jackets you loose sleeve length as you size down for the body. This jacket maintains great sleeve length. The snap buttons make it easy to secure and remove the jacket as needed. Definitely my go to jacket these days.

I barely leave reviews for items (see: my post history), but this jacket is awesome. Fits great, feels light, but warm and durable and thick enough to protect from cold wind chills. Perfect for an extra layer for winter or as a jacket for the rainy spring days! Love this jacket! XD
