Great quality shirts. The fabric is on the thicker/heavier side, so don't expect to wear these on a hot summer day. The size definitely runs big, I would order at least 1 size smaller than what you typically wear, 2 sizes smaller might be cutting it close. I'm 5'8 180lbs and typically wear a large, I ordered a medium and it's still pretty big/baggy on me. Overall happy with purchase.

I like “oversized” t shirts for the gym and the fit is fitting. But if you’re gonna workout with it, you’ll get hot faster due to the material. I’m 5’9 185 and I got the xl, I tried a xxl and the sleeve and body length were the same but the body section was just a lot wider. If you want true to size then size down 1-2 I also got a large and it still was too big for me but a large would normally be snug on me.

I love Carhartt shirts. They are probably a little bigger than my size so I should get a size down, but they are solid comfortable wonderful shirts that I have never gone wrong with. I love all of their offerings in shirts. I'm built like John Candy and go the big and tall way, so they also have good colors and comfortable shirts that aren't like other companies that relegate you to 3 basic colors for big and tall stuff and then you get to watch the regular sizes enjoy the vast colors available.
