Worked perfect for 08 yz250f. Runs great. The only thing is the jets that came with it weren't the right size for my elevation in socal (175 main/ 42 pilot) so i used the ones from the stock carb. Plan on re-using your jets or buying new ones.

trash doesn't matter what jets u use or needle placement there is never enuff fuel going threw the carb to cover the internal vacuum leak it will idle and full throttle but cruising mid throttle it falls on it face

    • It works
Put this carb on a 2008 YZ250F. Everything fit. There was a review that the throttle cable didn’t fit but I had no issues. I live at 5600ft elevation so had to move the mixture needle to the 2nd to the top spot and the bike runs perfect.

    • Decent carb
Construction is ok. Get an extra jet kit as you will need to match it to what's in your bike. (This is expected as carb fits many models) I received a bad TPS sensor. Sell offered a $20 credit. That was fine as my old one was OK. But if you need one ide look elsewhere. Seller cannot get parts. The good is it works fine. Plus it has a #40 leak jet. This carb does not have the option for the Yamaha WR backfire diaphragm. (A non issue as you no longer need to have a Lean carb) ... show more

    • Just not manufactured with enough precision to be reliable and tuneable
Could get the bike to idle okay. Jet sizing seems way off. Even playing with jets and getting them right, slide needle taper seemed way off too. I could get the low and high end tuned but then the mid range would be way rich. Get the mid range tuned and the low and high end would be way lean. Tried different slide needles but using any needle other than the one that came installed made everything way, way worse. Just not made with precision needed for a carburetor to work seemlessly. ... show more

    • Stock throttle cable does not work with this carb
This carb does not work with stock throttle cable and I have struggled to find a cable that works with this part. Be careful to order something that will work with the parts you have. Otherwise, the machine looks nice and it fits the bike properly. Just wish I didn’t have to scour the internet for a cable that fits. My bike project would have been done weeks ago if it matches up with OEM parts properly. ... show more
