Not sure what the small rubber washer was for, my original didn't have one but I am not the original owner of the bike.     • DOES NOT fit older Honda Rebels.
Despite what some other reviewers might say, this part does not work on Honda Rebels from the 80s. After putting this under calipers the shaft length was 5mm short, and the boot does not fit. The diaphragm fits, and I was prepared to cut it shorter as is often needed, but I can't make it longer.

Good quality would recomend. I bought it for a different machine and the rubber boot was the wrong size for me, but it wasnt intended for my machine.
