CO detectors are as important s smoke detectors, in a house. If your furnace malfunctions and releases any carbon monoxide, it’s the only defense you have to escape before the gas renders you unconscious. I have one detector but I needed another. This one looks much better than the other one, so I installed this one on the main floor and put the other one in the basement. This was easy to set up; the directions were clear to understand and follow. You need to provide 3 AAA batteries yourself. Make sure you use brand new ones! I installed this one in the hallway where our bedrooms are located using the drywall anchors and screws provided. This is very reasonable price and the peace-of-mind you get is priceless to know you are safe from possible CO poisoning. ... show more

I live the small size and easy setup of this detector. It was simple to assemble and mount. Batteries were not included but I had some already. Once mounted and batteries installed it’s just a matter of 1/4 turn into the mounting plate. This is what turns it on and makes it active. The plastic on the unit is heavy duty and durable. This should last with no problems. I liked that they included the mounting screw and anchors. This helps me sleep better knowing I am safe. This carbon monoxide detector is very simple to set up and works great for multiple rooms. The loud alarm is effective and the LED display makes it easy to monitor. It's a great addition for safety in the home especially in areas like the boiler room and bedroom.
