Let’s start with the good, because there is some. The rod is nice and lightweight, the auger end looks like it means business for sand, mud, and smaller rocky bottoms, and the handle is actually usable for adult-sized hands—which is not always a given. And yes, the little shark buoy is a nice touch. Functional? Maybe. Adorable? Absolutely. Now… where things drift a bit. At 39 inches, this thing comes up short—literally. It really needs another couple feet of length to be truly useful in more situations. By the time you drill it down deep enough to actually hold, you’re left with maybe a little over 2 feet (or less) sticking up. That’s not a lot of confidence when you’ve got a boat that would prefer not to go on a solo adventure. Also, no attachment points. No rings for a carabiner, nothing built-in for securing your line cleanly, and oddly nothing dedicated to attach the shark buoy either. You’re basically tying things on and hoping for the best, which feels like a missed opportunity in the design. Will it work? Probably—in the right conditions. But it doesn’t have enough height or versatility to be a go-to anchor for me. Giving it 3 stars because it’s got a good foundation, it just needed to reach a little higher.

This turned out to be a really handy little sand anchor setup. It’s lightweight, easy to carry, and surprisingly sturdy once you screw it down into the sand properly. The T-handle gives you good leverage, and it anchors much more securely than I expected for something this compact. We mainly wanted something easier and cleaner than dealing with bulky traditional anchors for shallow-water sandbar use, and this fits the bill perfectly. It’s quick to set up, easy to remove, and the included storage bag keeps wet sandy gear contained afterward. The shark buoy is honestly kind of hilarious, but it actually makes the anchor line very easy to spot in the water, which is useful in busy areas. Pros - Lightweight and easy to transport - Screws into sand securely - T-handle makes setup easy - Great for shallow water and sandbars - Included storage bag is convenient - Shark buoy adds visibility and fun Cons - Best suited for sand/shallow water use, not heavy-duty anchoring - Takes a little effort in very packed sand - Shark buoy color/style may not appeal to everyone Overall, this is a great option for sandbar trips, jet skis, small boats, or shallow-water anchoring. Compact, practical, and much easier to deal with than dragging around a traditional anchor setup.

I’ve used this sand anchor mainly for securing a kayak in shallow water and sandbars, and it performs well for that purpose. The carbon fiber design makes it noticeably lightweight, which is helpful when carrying it along with other gear to the water. The reinforced nylon auger twists into sand fairly easily, and once it’s set, it holds surprisingly well in calm conditions. The T-handle gives good leverage for both installing and removing it without too much effort. This is a nice anchor system. Simply screw the shaft down into the sand to keep your body anchored to the shore. I like that it comes with a floating fish so I can always see where my anchor is when it's underneath the water. Stable anchor. Durable, with a good weight. Nice value! Cute fish.

We’ve been using this sand anchor with our jet ski and it’s honestly worked out really well so far. It’s lightweight enough that it doesn’t take up much room, but it still feels sturdy once it’s secured into the sand. The T-handle makes it easy to twist in and out without fighting with it, and the included storage bag keeps everything together nicely when not in use. I also really like that it comes with the buoy since it makes spotting the anchor location a lot easier in busy areas. For shallow water stops and hanging out at the sandbar, this has been exactly the right size and has held the jet ski in place without any issues.

Out of the box review as weather in the north isn’t fully cooperating just yet. We own kayaks and paddle rivers and the occasional lake. Out of the box, I immediately noticed how lightweight the sand anchor is. When hauling gear whether kayak camping or a day in the water, lighter the gear, the better. The sand anchor kit Comes with a bouy, totally adorable. Bright rope, plus storage bag. And the anchor. The storage bag is too small to hold all of the parts. The anchor was easy to assemble - came with tool and hardware to attach the handle and anchor bit. I will update the review upon first use. Hopefully soon if Mother Nature cooperates in the north.
