  • Worked great!
Size: 3 Buttons
As good if not better than the factory original. Replacing the built-in blank key with the original was tricky - getting the spring to fit exactly as it was prior to opening took me awhile. I recommend working slowly and taking pictures of the process throughout, so you can reverse engineer it easier when you put it back. But, in the end, it all came together. A little tricky to program, and I had to read some other users' reviews and also watch a couple Youtube videos to get it done. There was an extra step missing from some of the other users' reviews that was required for my 2008 Acura RDX. But, one of the Youtube videos I watched had that final step. It seems like the process might be slightly different depending on the year/model. It took a few tries, but eventually got 2 new fobs programmed. So don't lose heart if it doesn't work the first time. Keeping trying and you'll get it eventually! Very happy with the purchase. ... show more

  • Quality good and works perfectly!
Size: 4 Buttons
Thrilled that I decided to try this affordable option before spending hundreds at the dealer. The unit seems solid, good quality and it works perfectly. Improving my quality of life tremendously. :) I was worried that it would be difficult to program, but I followed directions carefully, including some tips and tricks found in The Amazon customer comments. It was easy. I've been using for 2 weeks only, so far so good. ... show more

  • Easy programming and moderate key swap
Size: 4 Buttons
I purchased this remote to replace failing buttons on the OEM key fob for my Acura MDX. Programming was easy and I got it to work after the second attempt (see instructions below). Rather than having a new key cut by a locksmith or dealer, I chose to swap the key from the OEM fob. The swap was moderately difficult as their is a small spring within the button mechanism that must be reset into place. Pay close attention when removing the metal plate holding the key and spring in place. One end of the spring sets into a small hole on the key and the other into a small hole on the metal plate. Set over button and lowly twist clockwise until the set screws align. Replace the screws and reattach the rest of the fob pieces. Given the cost of an OEM fob, it’s definitely worth the time and effort. Hope this helps. MDX Key Fob Programming Step1 Gather the remote for the vehicle on hand and sit in the car with all doors/trunk tightly closed. Step 2 Turn the original key to the ON position, marked by “II” on the ignition bezel so the dash lights come on. Then listen for a quiet click, and then within 5 seconds press the “Lock” button of new key on the remote for 1 second. Step 3 Turn the key to the OFF position, marked by “I” on the ignition bezel so the dash lights go off. If you hear a quiet click in the dashboard after turning switch to "I" then the entire process must be restarted. Repeat three more times (for a total of 4 times). Step 4 Upon the 4th turning of the key to “ON”, press the lock button on one remote, the locks will make a cycling sound (clunk), locks will NOT lock or unlock at this point, they will just make a noise. The system is now in programming mode. Do not turn key off. Press lock button 2 more times, and then press unlock. Step 5 Turn ignition completely off and remove the key. Step out of car and close door. The remotes should be programmed and work. If you have a trunk/hatch release, the button for this feature needs to be held for a few seconds before the trunk/hatch will “pop”. ... show more

  • Works well

It does not let me roll down windows when double click and hold the unlock. Not sure if it’s an error with how I have it programmed or just the fob

  • JUNK
Size: 4 Buttons
I've bought this twice (maybe even 3 times) and and they all stopped working after a really short time. Tried to contact the seller but they never replied. Bought batteries and it's not that- still don't work. They may be be cheap money wise, but they are definately a cheap product. I recommended to a friend after the first one I bought. They've had the same issue. Don't waste your money!!! ... show more

  • Works (at least as a remote)
Size: 3 Buttons
I haven't been able to cut and pair it to my immobilizer, but as just a remote for the doors, it works. It doesn't have the long press-to-roll-down-windows feature my old remote had, but I didn't like that anyway. Came out to my car with the windows rolled down because I had sat on the remote. Note that as your key ages, the metal "groves" in the top and bottom wear away. Maybe .5 mm on each side. That is enough to make it not line up properly and starts to damage the locks. And if it does happen, you can find the lock parts on line for a fraction of the price of the dealership. ... show more

  • Nice replacement, durable and easy to set up.

Thanks to reviewer Jason. Follow his guide to register to keyless system. Go to locksmith, spent $80 to get key cut and programming then a perfect back up key is ready.

  • Works great!

2011 Acura MDX - key with trunk button… I swapped the original key into the new key fob using the new spring and internals (which are much better than the plastic internals on the original key) To program: 1. Place the key in the ignition 2. Turn “on” but don’t start the car 3. Press the “lock” (or unlock) key within 4 seconds 4. Turn off keeping key in ignition 5. Repeat steps two three and four (four times) until you hear the car lock or unlock 6. Leave the key in the “on” position (after you hear the car lock or unlock) and press the lock or unlock key again (you should here the car lock or unlock) 7. Turn the key to the off position and remove it 8. Check the lock and unlock buttons 9. Now hold the trunk button for 5 seconds (trunk should open) It may take a few tries and there are videos of the process but not many that mention the trunk. ... show more
