I purchased this knowing it was an automotive touch-up paint, but I ended up using it for a completely different purpose—and it worked surprisingly well. My Maytag washing machine is less than three years old, but over time the paint along the inner rim began to chip. Those exposed areas eventually started to rust. The biggest issue wasn’t just the rust itself, but the fact that rust stains would transfer onto clothes and towels when loading and unloading laundry. The most frustrating part was having to rewash freshly cleaned items because they picked up rust marks. That’s when I thought of using a car touch-up paint. After applying this product, I was very satisfied with the results. It didn’t just cover the rust—it helped prevent further rusting and sealed the areas where the paint had been continuously peeling. Since applying it, I haven’t had any more issues with rust transferring onto laundry. Important tips based on my experience: Don’t try to fix everything in one thick coat. I highly recommend applying very thin layers, allowing each layer to fully dry before applying the next one. I used this method and applied 2–3 thin coats in total. This approach gave much better adhesion, a smoother finish, and feels more durable over time. While this product is marketed for automotive use, it worked extremely well for small rust spots and paint chipping on metal surfaces like appliances. If you’re dealing with a similar issue and are willing to take a careful, layered approach, this product can be a very effective solution beyond just car touch-ups. Unfortunately, I didn’t take before photos, but I’ve included an after photo to show the coverage and finish after applying multiple thin layers.(The circled area in the attached photo indicates where the touch-up paint was applied.)

I suppose wheels are different than touch ups on stuff... many coats did not cover, and as soon as the rain came 3 days later, all the paint on the rim touch up washed away. Okay, got my refund, but just be careful that you get the paint you need for the project at hand. Water soluble paint for auto wheels? Not really a good idea.

Works amazing!!!! The color match is a little teeny bit off but if you just want something to get the job done and cheaply it’s definitely a bang for your buck. The coverage of the paint isn’t the most greatest… you kinda have to re apply it a couple times and use the tool but otherwise it’s great!! It’s very easy and super simple to use!!

Be aware this is not your typical touch up paint. That is perfectly OK. Its a different sort of system for scratch and chip repair that probably works great, but not what I was expecting for the very small repair I wanted to fix. This system uses a heavy thick paint that is intended to fill the chip or very deep scratch. Then you use the included small squeegee to level the paint leaving the scratch or chip filled with paint. Agin - no problem - I should have read the product details more closely. Nothing is wrong with the product.

This black paint touch-up worked very well for small scratches on my car. It was easy to apply, dried quickly, and blended nicely with the original paint. The scratches are much less noticeable, and the finish looks smooth. For the price, this is a great solution for quick and simple touch-ups
