The Olympic Posts are a must have. In fact, they are the reason I went with the CAP squat rack. I was a little worried about the squat rack being flimsy, but once you attach the 6 post weight holders, this thing becomes much more stable. I had been researching squat racks for months but finally went with CAP because of the price, close hole spacing, Olympic weight holders, and affordable safety arms. I will never bench or squat 500 pounds, so this things should last as long as my lifting career (of course I'm 50).

The attachment for the CAP Power Rack 905Q is great. Priced as much as the Power Rack itself! But makes the whole rack more sturdy, stylish and easy to store your plates. Only bummer is you can't use your barbell stand, unless you have a shorter barbell. The other plate holder initially on the rack is also rendered useless. I would still like to use that for smaller plates. But other than that, it's awesome. But it makes me think, maybe I should have just purchased a power cage.

great product. even better price. i combined this product with a Canpa squat rack (was not completely compatible but made it work) with single columns on each side. luckily i have a welder friend who helped me cut and weld 2 pieces that were too long. works perfectly fine now! happy with my decision. saved so much money compared to those products out there that have 4 columns already included. over priced and most do not delivery to my area.

I've love my CAP power rack and have gotten much of the accessories available for it, including the safety arms and the pull up attachment. I thought I would try the 6 olympic plates holder to clear up my floor and move my bumper plates to a more accessible area right on the power rack. The problem with the design is that the vertical post is in two pieces, however unlike the power rack itself, the gauge of steel used on the attachment is extremely thin, and has a ridiculous amount of free play. I thought it was because i didn't tighten it enough, but even when I tightened it enough to have a noticeable concave in, the two vertical pieces were still wiggling significantly. Considering that a few hundred pounds were supposed to be supported by this weak structure, I gave up and returned the item as I didn't have any trust or faith in the attachment.

This review is for the six plate holder attachment, not the rack itself. Purchased with the belief that it would hold all my bumper plates. However, the top two rungs are not spaced far enough up to leave it so that the plates don't sit on top of each other, so I'm only able to utilize the bottom four for plate storage. Maybe I got a defective one but certainly not for use with bumper plates to keep them from crossing over each other when racked.

Great upgrade option to the FM-905Q Rack. Provides additional structural support to the rack in addition to plate storage. Would be 5 star if it came with a cross beem on top which would turn the 905 rack into a cage.
