I've been using this both for locking my feet under it and for gripping for both kinds of situps (for upper and lower abs exercises). However, having the metal bar end sticking up in the air looked like an accident waiting to happen, so I added a piece of rubber edge trim (which you can also get on Amazon from this link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DCF3KQ1/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1&tag=refreshpage3-20&tag=refreshpage3-20) and straps with a zip tie. ... show more

This things put together is a little wobbly and a bit unstable no matter how tight you crank it down. But it is functional and will light up your abs after a few reps. Worth the money in the end.

This is a very simple little device, but I cant do situps unless my feet are held down by something. Very easy to assemble - just one bolt and wingnut, and its easy to attach to a door. Resonably sturdy, but very useable. I keep mine permanently attached to the inside of a door that opens against a wall. That way, I won't trip over it when walking through the door. With it permanently attached, its easier to get the motivation to lie down on the floor and do some ab work. ... show more
