I'm still impressed by the quality. I use an old Canon PIXMA MG5722, which I also bought - years ago - here at Amazon. The printer is running great but all of this time, because of its low price, I never used it for making photos. But recently I got a wild hair as I was looking at new, costlier printers specifically for color photos. I wanted to see what my old printer could do. First, the printer can do up to 9600 x 2400. Okay, but can the paper handle that? Yes it can! I started at 300dpi and the crisp clarity was astounding. After that I ran through all twenty sheets and under scrutiny they all come out as excellent as if I was using a pro printer. 24 hours later I give it the bare-finger smudge test. No Smudge! Yes, this review is as much about the printer as it is about the paper, but for those who need to know, it's important to know where this paper excels. Canon paper excels on Canon printers with Canon-type ink. That's another thing, I used third party inks (GPC Image Ink Cartridge - purchased here at Amazon) and it still came out great. Would this paper work as well for a non-canon printer? That's a different review from a different reviewer. As for this paper, the print quality is great and I can only hope the colors last.

My experience with the Canon Ink Photo Paper Plus Glossy II 8.5" x 11" 20 Sheets has been fantastic! The quality of photos printed on this paper is outstanding – crystal clear and vibrant colors. The glossy finish gives photos a professional quality look and feel. The paper is nice and thick, so it feels substantial in your hands, which I really appreciated. Overall I am very pleased with this product and highly recommend it to anyone looking for top-notch photo printing supplies. I have a Canon 100 Pro printer and this paper works great in it! Highly recommended. I also recently tried out the Canon Ink Glossy Photo Paper 4" x 6" 39 Sheets which I found to be of a similar quality and just as impressive. I wanted to print a picture for a frame as a gift for my boyfriend, but I didn't have any glossy photo paper. I compared the options and selected this one because it had such great ratings, and it happened to be on sale at the time (which was a plus). I print a lot of photos, and I've found this paper to be equal to or better than photo paper you get with professionally-printed studio photos. There was a time when inkjet technology and paper technology were both lacking, but Canon has perfected both, and producing stunning glossy prints at home is a snap. This paper is excellent at reproducing vibrant colors and deep blacks, as well as smooth skin tones and crisp details, with a wide range of hues and gradations in between. My experience has been that it's also resistant to fading and loss of tone, even over years in bright environments. It's about as close to archival quality as the consumer can get, and we can always print replacements if needed. Still, it's best to protect ALL photos of all kinds from direct sunlight or strong light sources. There's little to say about this photo paper except that it works and works well. The price is very good, but even if you pay a little more than generic paper it's worth it.
