I have an old iMac that I use one -a - year solely for printing address labels. Basically, I use it sort of like a big Rolodex because my newer Mac didn't come with an address label program and I was too cheap to purchase MicroSoft Word just for that one function.     • Sterling business practices--do business with these folks...you won't regret it!
I mistakenly purchased two of these when my ink cartridges were heading for empty, not realizing that it was a type 51 I wanted, instead. A couple months later, when the old cartridge was finally empty, I reached for the new one. I stood there staring at them, seeing the obvious difference in model numbers! I even tried installing this one, after all they looked so very similar. Needless to say, it didn't work. The best part of the story has to do with this vendor. Today I thought I'd give returning the unopened one a try. I found the 30-day limit for Amazon returns, but I sent them my sob story to find out if they'd make an exception. Sure enough, within a couple hours of asking for a refund, I'd heard from the vendor assuring me they'd take it back, no questions asked! This is a sterling kind of business interaction that needs to be spread far and wide. Do business with these folks...you won't regret it! ... show more

ASIN B000AYH7X4 - Like almost all ink cartridges out there, it's overpriced. Unfortunately, since they're all overpriced, I can't really take away a star for that. It's ink. It works, it runs out eventually, it's kind of hard to say much about an ink cartridge. Haven't yet had one clog up, but I do recommend storing in a plastic baggie if you won't be using it for a while. On the very upside, and earning this cartridge (and any other from Canon) a big gold star from me - Canon runs a cartridge recycling program, with boxes available upon request from their website. Works fine. Gives good prints and I like that it is monitored by the computer so I can see how much ink is left in the container through the printer's maintenance/tools. Wish it weren't so expensive, and wish that there was more black ink in the cartridges.

As expected. I am always concerned that ink cartridges may LOOK like the real unused manufacturer's ink on the web site but sometimes is not. Although ordering what I think is manufacturer new ink, I have had remanufactured ink surprises and one that was even dry when I received it. But this one was the real thing.
