I recently acquired a wide format Epson printer (through Amazon) and wanted to try the 13x19 printing. I have had Canon printers almost exclusively for years and have always used their paper. The price difference between the Epson paper and Canon's, caused me to give it a go and I have not been disappointed at all. The photos I printed came out clear, true-to-color, and sharp. I did notice a slight red tinge in the matte paper over the glossy. It wasn't enough to detract so I won't deduct for that.     • Single sided (and unmarked) - be sure you print on the right side
This is the first matte coated photo paper that I ever used in an inkjet printer and I do hold other up to this standard. It is not vey thick especially at the 13x19" size but the colors are vibrant and true to my monitor. It used to be go-to for photo printing but the cost can be prohibited now that there are so many other choices at lower cost and nearly identical quality. Also, prints look AWFUL if printed on the wrong side. The wrong side is slightly more beige that the right side but it is not easy to tell the difference and Canon does not mark the wrong side.     • Some Difficulty Identifying Correct Side
Makes a nice large photograph if you've got the resolution (Canon ix6820). My only complaint is it's not a gimme to tell which side to print on. All of my other Canon (and Fuji for that matter) papers have watermarks on the non-printing side; thus, four stars.

    • Nice paper quality for matte photos.
Great for posters and for blowing up photographs to frame...as long as you have a large format printer. I love to frame photos that I've taken on our travels and this allows me to frame them in poster size frames. It's a great way to add framed art to your home. The matte paper has a much more professional, gallery-worthy, look than gloss, and at a reasonable price. Matte paper does use up more ink than glossy paper, but the colors, and especially blacks and grays, have a deeper, more saturated appearance as a result. Very nice. ... show more

    • Great paper - bright color prints, clean and crisp
I use a wide array of different papers for different art projects. I find this brand to be the best for crisp and bright colors. The print quality for super bright prints for making artwork prints is excellent. The paper does not saturate for the thickness like many other papers.

    • Canon Paper Not For High Quality Photos
Canon Photo Paper Matte, 13 x 19 Inches, 20 Sheets (7981A011) I do a lot of landscape photo printing on 13 x 19 paper on a Canon Pro9000 Mark II printer. This Canon matte paper is the worst I have used for quality photos. The printer produces a very dull print using this paper, but when I use matte paper I buy from a local Staples on the same settings I get a very nice print. I corresponded with Canon on this and they wanted me to try various settings using their program, but I got the same poor results. I finally gave up on this paper and cannot recommend it for quality photo printing even though it says on the package that it produces vibrant colors. In my experience, It does not. I find I get the best results on landscape photos from Canon Photo Paper Plus Semi-gloss. Prints from this paper are always outstanding. ... show more
