  • Just awesome.
Format: Paperback
This is literally the only book that details Ohio's waterways. My husband is an avid fisherman and is always out in one of our canoes or kayaks. Some of the info is dated (the book is pretty old), but not much, and it's packed full of helpful tips and tidbits. He's shared this book with all of his friends and everyone loves it. ... show more

  • Old but reliable
Format: Paperback
Although this is almost as old as I am, it still holds valuable guidance to most all navigable streams and rivers in Ohio. It is well written, with fantastic maps. I pair it with paddling.net 's maps of launch sites to keep the material in the book updated.

  • Great book. I bought 2 of them
Format: Paperback
Great book. I bought 2 of them. One for me and one for my boyfriend. We both love it. It's got great information on all of Ohio's rivers and streams. It's somewhat outdated but worth the purchase.

  • very informative
Format: Paperback
there are a lot of waterways in Ohio, but it isn't easy to find information on where to put in and take out. This book describes those locations as well as dangers that lie ahead on the river. I am anxious for spring so that I can try some of the unfamiliar waters.

  • A little dated
Format: Paperback
I got this book to plot some canoe and kayak trips in Ohio but found some good info, but some seemed dated. It could have been spiced up a little.

  • Good Ohio float guide
Format: Paperback
It is older, but I can’t wait to use it to check out some streams I did not know about.

  • Start here first.
Format: Paperback
I bought 3 canoing guides. This was the best of the 3. Read well and had the best maps. Felt like I was going down the river with the author in front.

  • I had hoped for better
Format: Paperback
I had hoped for better. The book is from 1994 so it’s useless except for historical data. Why didn’t I return it? I was laid up, so paddling rivers was not on my mind. When I finally healed up and opened the packaging it was to late. My recommendation, pass this one by.
