Its ruggedness and reliability have been proven on the water, year after year. But smart anglers know Magnum has a sophisticated side too. The Cannon Magnum Electric Downrigger is available in 3 models: Magnum 10 TS (Tournament Series), Magnum 10, and Magnum 5. Magnum’s unique design and advanced features like the Low-Profile Swivel Base (Magnum 10 and Magnum 10 TS models only) and Three-Digit Depth Counter make achieving perfect bait positioning easy. When there’s a strike, technology such as Auto Up lets anglers focus totally on landing that fish. To rig, attach the weight (or Cannonball) to your line with a 'line release'. Place the rod in the rod holder and lower the weight to your desired depth. While trolling, the weight of the Cannonball keeps your lure at your desired depth and allows it to 'swim' more naturally behind the weight. On some Cannon downriggers, you can cycle the weight up or down, or keep it a set distance from the bottom. Once a fish takes the lure, the line release lets go of the line and the fish is on. After you see that the fish is on, remove the rod from the rod holder and reel in your catch.
