Description

The engine of the 11-speed drivetrain is the chain. It has been designed to eliminate all friction with the sprockets adjacent to those in operation.A special treatment ensures smoothness. We have reduced the width of the chain to 5.5 millimetres with the new spacing and a new material has been envisaged for the outer links. The pins are hollow inside to reduce the weight while maintaining strength. It is necessary to use tool UT-CN300 to fit it. The Ni- PTFE treatment ensures smoothness and long life. The Ultra-Link fastening system guarantees strength and operation with the new 11-speed sprockets.

I bought an used bike that came with a new KMC chain. The KMC chain worked fine but having used Campy parts for more than 2 decades I knew something was not right. The KMC chain shifted up to the big ring more slowly (it hesitated), it was louder, it also did not allow for cross chaining (big with big, I could get on the 53-23 but it would skip back down to the 21 - yes sometimes you should x-chain to keep up momentum). I replaced the rim because I started to notice a sound when I was applying more power to the pedal. Changed the rim and the sound is gone. I love Campagnolo. Can't get any better!
