Description

Camco’s 25-Foot Heated Drinking Water Hose is great for RVs, livestock, agriculture, kennels and other industrial, commercial and residential uses. A self-regulating heating cable is ideal for water line freeze protection down to -20°F (-28°C). The hose is made with an NSF-61 certified, drinking water safe hose that is BPA, phthalate and lead-free. The heated drinking water hose won’t leach harmful chemicals into your water or leave it tasting like plastic the way standard garden hoses do. The internal hose diameter is 5/8-inch, and the fittings are heavy-duty machined and plated for maximum corrosion deterrence. The durable exterior jacket protects the water hose and electrical components from damage or exposure. Operates on 120VAC and uses an 18AWG 6-foot power cord with a LED indicator in the plug. CSA Low Lead Content Certified to NSF/ANSI 372 and compliant with all federal and state level Low Lead Laws.

  • Best purchase in a while for winter camping
Size: 25' Style: Cold Weather (Freeze Protection to - 20˚F) Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
In the past I have wrapped the hose with foam pipe from big box stores, added heated cord and still had issues with frozen hose. This has been a great purchase and as an added bonus. I now have a heated bidet! Nice feature is the added connector to allow either power from RV or supply side of the hose. The best part and they don't even advertise is the added length of heated wire on either end. I used this to wrap around the hose bib and on the RV side. I have a 90 degree elbow to reduce strain on the hose at the inlet. I wrapped the extra heated cord around it and then used a foam elbow to cover. 19 degrees this morning and still had water flowing for a shower. I have not noticed any off taste with this hose as well. I went with the camco brand vs no name brand hoping they wouldn't sell something too cheap and looks like they did a good job. ... show more

  • Worked Great in Low Teens
Size: 25' Style: Cold Weather (Freeze Protection to - 20˚F) Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
We got this so we could keep the water on overnight while the temps dropped to low teens (40s and 50s during the day). While nearly everyone around us was disconnecting overnight, we stayed connected and never had any issues at all. I was skeptical on this hose because of some reviews, but it worked great. The campground we tested this at had heat tape around their spigot. I'm going to get a 10-ish foot heat cord to wrap the spigot and filter at future campgrounds where they might not have their own. We paired this hose with a large insulating cover that went over the hose, campground spigot, pressure regulator, and filter: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B8YHVT99 ... show more

  • Mine froze up at -4°, but the wind was brutal and chills rated to -42°.
Size: 50' Style: Cold Weather (Freeze Protection to - 20˚F) Product Packaging: Frustration-Free Packaging
Froze from windchill down to -42°, unhooked from supply but left heat plugged in. Hope to hook back up, check it for leaks, then install rubber pipe insulation over it for added barrier (wind protection) and give it another shot. Update; 12-28-22 just put water pressure back on hose and all is good. Going to add the rubberized foam for additional protection. ... show more

  • Good hose
Size: 50' Style: Cold Weather (Freeze Protection to - 20˚F) Product Packaging: Frustration-Free Packaging
The hose has worked well for us until this week when temps have dropped into the negatives. It was -4° F when we realized the hose had frozen. We put pipe Insulation around it to see if we can get the water to flow again. Also the hose has a plastic taste but seems to have mitigated after use for a month or so. ... show more

  • Keep water flowing at freezing temps
Size: 25' Style: Cold Weather (Freeze Protection to - 20˚F) Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
Recently installed product to protect feed line to camper during expected freezing temps to endure multiple days. Lowest temp was 7 degrees with wind. Had no issues with water to camper during this period. Product works as described and would buy again.

  • Does not Stand the test of time
Size: 50' Style: Cold Weather (Freeze Protection to - 20˚F) Product Packaging: Frustration-Free Packaging
I at first liked this hose when I got it it was fairly expensive. Each summer I put it away and used the summer hose on the RV. So it's been through 2 winters and the 3rd winter this winter it leaks in the middle of the 50' length. Weeps out a tiny pin hole in the blue covering.

  • No more frozen water!
Size: 50' Style: Cold Weather (Freeze Protection to - 20˚F) Product Packaging: Frustration-Free Packaging
I have to run 150 ft of hose for my toy hauler. I run the first half with this heated hose, and then a standard hose the rest the way with a heated wire (much cheaper than another hose) Currently 18* out and in the middle of a ice storm and waters still flowing

  • Worked great in 5 degrees with snow
Size: 12' Style: Cold Weather (Freeze Protection to - 20˚F) Product Packaging: Frustration-Free Packaging
After a blizzard, it dropped to 5 degrees around 0500 and it held its mud. The snow didn't even wanted nothing to do with it. Didn't even touch it. We camped for 5 days. Very easy to install with no leaks. I got my money worth with this one trip. Hope it continues to work on our next trip in 2023.
