    • Lightweight but attractive cobbler shaker for the casual mixologist

This is a nice cobbler shaker set for casual usage. With the exception of the frosted glass shaker and wood muddler, the rest is made of lightweight stainless steel and can go in the dishwasher without any worries (I've already run it through my dishwasher, and everything came out great). The recipes/frosting on the glass will eventually wear off if you put it in the dishwasher, so I would wash that by hand, and of course don't put the wooden muddler in the dishwasher. There is a silicone ring to seal the lid to the shaker, but the strainer cap doesn't have a silicone seal, so just make sure that it's twisted on tightly before shaking vigorously. Ice will almost always help it seal. If you make tons of drinks, a Boston shaker might make more sense, but this style is perfect for those who make drinks occasionally and don't want to invest in more heavy-weight tools. ... show more

This is my first cocktail shaker, so I’m no mixology expert, but I’ve been enjoying experimenting with this one. All of the pieces seem pretty quality. I don’t think you can trust the measurements on the glass like some reviewers have mentioned which is unfortunate, but I do appreciate that there are recipes for several classic cocktails included on the frosted glass. The lid creates a good seal so there’s no leakage. Between the inaccurate measurements on the glass and the fact that it’s not dishwasher safe, those are the only (small) negatives, overall I’d definitely recommend the set for someone with a casual interest or just wanting a no-nonsense set. ... show more

This is a very nice and high quality set for the most part in terms of materials. The muddler does have one rough side where splinters might be possible, so be mindful of that and consider wearing gloves for protection if your own set is similar. It doesn’t leak when used as a shaker, which is excellent. However, the ounce and milliliter measurements on the cup are inaccurate. This set has everything you need for a beginner's bar setup. I like the stainless look and the easy drink recipes on the shaker. It's packaged nicely and would make a great housewarming or bridal shower gift! Very nice, affordable tool set for beginner mixologist/that one friend that likes to drink cocktails. I am debating between keeping it for myself or for gifting, as I like the frosted shaker that has recipes on them, and the small tools. So, the images on the product page is pretty representative of what you get. The only issue I have is that the wood tamper seems like it wouldn't hold up to long from what I see. The rest is as you see and decent. I can't complain. All in all I recommend.
