My new beige king sheets were lustrous and beautiful. The sheets washed well and the wrinkles were typical for cotton sheets. They smoothed out nicely on the bed. It was a pleasure to turn down my covers each night and look at them... but it wasn't such a pleasure to sleep on them. After the second washing, I was dreading getting into bed to read on my Kindle (usually my pleasure of the day) because the sheets were so rough and scratchy. I was still in the return timeframe so I wanted to wash the sheets before I returned them. What a shock and I do mean shock... the sheets crackled and shocked me when I put them in the washing machine. A first. Now they are safely washed and returned to Amazon. What a disappointment.
