  • Fantastic Quality for the Price
Gorgeous costume. I wore it for a Jane Austen tea party and got rave reviews. I’m 5’4” 170 lbs and got an XL. Fit perfectly with a little extra room. Was a tad long but that was expected. The pictures don’t show it, but there is a button in the back that lets you hitch up the back train (which is lovely and long) to a manageable length. My husband was especially happy later in the evening.... ... show more

  • Empress Josephine
I like the style of the costume. I like the details and it is becoming if you look good in white. It runs slightly larger than I expected. I ordered extra large because of my body type. Some parts were way too large ( as I expected) and other parts were fine. You might have to have it adjusted. I have a large chest so I knew I was going to have it altered cons the tassels fall out and I leave a very little trail of string every where I walk. I notice it but only your hostess might notice it later after the party. No one else will. Cons The arms are too long by about 3 inches. I had to have the dress altered because I am 5 foot two I weigh 165 pounds. My tailor cut off at least 4 inches off the bottom. She took off 3 inches off the arms and readjusted the elastic band for the middle finger of the hand. The left arm was slightly twisted so the elastic band didn’t fall right at your middle finger. The right arm was fine. I thought it would be easier for my Tailor to just readjust some things instead of making something from scratch but I find out later that making it from scratch is much easier. If you know how to sew, just get a regency dress pattern at Joannes fabrics and it might fit better. I didn’t know I had this option. I will not be returning it as I have already adjusted it and am ready to go. The details on it are pretty and appropriate for Josephine’s wedding gown. Except for the long sleeves as she did not have that. I actually appreciated the long sleeves because I like that better than bare arms. I ended up buying a tiara , with some rings, a necklace and earrings that were pretty cheap on the Internet, but looks the part. I also bought some gloves recently, which will help make it look refine. I did also ask my Tailor to create a cloak like empress, Josephine. if you look at any Internet pictures, You’ll see a red cloak that fits under the bodice, regency style straight across the bodice and falls open in the front. With the amount of money that I spent on the cloak, I could’ve easily made all of this a little cheaper if I plan this out better. If you know someone that sews, it’ll be easier to get them to make you a Regency dress. I ended up spending way more on the cloak than I did on the actual dress. If you look good in white, then buy this dress and save a few dollars from making it. But if you do not look great in white, and you have to get a cloak to hide a few large features you might as well just make the whole darn thing from scratch. Happy Halloween. ... show more

  • Pleasantly surprised
For a costume I was quite surprised at the quality. The fringe doesn’t go all the way around and the embellishments are printed on but this really looks great on and works perfect for what it’s made for a decent quality but affordable costume. Yes you can get higher grade costumes but you are paying a higher price. I’d say for the money it’s better than I honestly expected. The material was heavy not flimsy and the seams double stitched. ... show more

  • Total swoon fest
I've been hoping to add a Regency era dress to my collection -- and while I still want this exact style in a silky, romantic satin -- this costume will satisfy in the meantime. The crushed velvet sleeves are super soft and cozy, a bit shiny for that extra touch of romance. The whole gown is nicely constructed. Perfect for cosplay, Ren Fairs, or just waltzing about your house feeling like a princess bride. ... show more

  • Almost right, but not quite what I expected
This dress is okay if you are tall and like glitter and fuzz all over you. I ordered the Josephine dress and the Napoleon costume to choose from for Halloween. The Napoleon was far better quality and fit, and that’s the one I kept. • Very beautiful
The media could not be loaded. Loved it wore it at the Bridgerton Experience and Photoshoot however a little shredding with lining of the material and the hook to my latch tore off but that can easily be fixed but lovely nonetheless. Definitely came in full regalia 👑.

  • Beautiful dress for the price but very long.
The dress is great foe the price but I did have to have it altered and most will due to the length. Also the glitter is basically sprayed or painted on and comes off readily.

  • Great Regency period costume!
Size: Medium Color: White/Gold
Only Regency-period costume I could find on Amazon and it turned out great! I’m a US size 10-12 and purchased the medium. It’s of typical Halloween costume material quality, but it looks beautiful in photos and comfortable to wear. The gold patterns are not embroidered, but what I guess are dots of gold glue. The waist belt is only in the front, not the back. The skirt has a button in the back of the bodice so you can unhook the skirt to make a longer train. My favorite part is the gold fringe in the front. The only thing that prevents me from giving it a full 5 stars is because the skirt is extremely long for my 5’2” height (even after bunching 2” at the waist and hooking it on the button, I still had a few inches worth of train) and it’s not machine washable. I’m planning to make this costume last for a few wears, so ky suggestion is to handwash it (especially the hem) to keep it white and pristine. ... show more
