This guitar kit arrived very well packaged. First, the gig bag is good. More than a dust cover with adequate padding on all sides and strong pocket and zippers. 2. The guitar weighs 7.5 pounds. Right in line with typical stratocasters. 3. The fit and finish is good. There is a blemish under the finish near the pick guard, but other than that it is nicely done. 4. Pearloid pick guard carried through to a pearloid rear compartment cover. This is the second starter pack I've seen that on, so it must be a point of emphasis. 5. Nut width is 41.8 mm. Close to typical Fender size. And the nut is cut extremely well. The first fretted note is perfect on all strings. 6. Fingerboard radius is 12, so a little flatter than Fender and I prefer 12 to 9.5. 7. The tuning keys are smooth with no slop. 8. The pickups and electronics work as they should. There is no coil split on the humbucker, but the pickups are good for learning guitar and practice. 9. The routs front and back are clean. 10. The tremolo has a skinny block, but it functions well. So, I want to say that somebody set this guitar up extremely well. The action is set at 6-7 thousandths ono all the strings. The nut is cut perfectly. The guitar is intonated. And the claw is set good for a beginner (not floating, but can be easily used to gently bend down on the notes.) The frets are level and there are no sharp fret ends. The guitar holds tune reasonably well, even when using the tremolo. I could get used to starter packs like this one. They all used to come with crazy high action, so you couldn't play without being out of tune and you didn't know if the frets were level. The only criticism I have of this guitar is that if you're palm muting, you will hit some pointy grub screws on the bridge. This can be fixed with a shim or shorter screws, but for most beginners this won't be an issue at all. You can play this guitar right out of the box and be very happy. And the included extras are fine. The amp is USB chargeable and works well. It's all you need until you're fronting a major rock band. The tuner is cromulent. The strap is meh. The cable is actually a little better than usual in these kits. Overall, you can't go wrong with this guitar kit. And for around 150 dollars with the current coupon, this is an excellent value for money.
