I got this drum set for my kid, and it's been pretty great so far. He loves the quiet mesh pads – perfect for our apartment. It works as advertised, with tons of sounds and kits, but the headphones could be better quality. Overall, a solid starter kit for the price.

Setup wasn't too bad - just make sure to open all the boxes before starting as some of pieces for the stand are in other boxes hiding underneath the drums ;). Adjustment screws are weird - some of them have plastic knobs you can loosen to adjust but others you need to use the included T-key to unscrew the bolt to adjust them. Sound is great - you can use the included headphones, use your own, or plug it into an amp to play it out loud. It's nowhere near performance-level quality, but if you're just playing in your room/garage it sounds perfectly fine. Durability seems fine so far - after a week of abuse it looks almost brand new (only marks are little scuffs of dust on the rubber cymbals). Weight isn't too bad - easy to pick up and move with 1 person. Not sure how well you can fold it down for storage, but it's pretty easy to take apart and put back together. If you do plan on doing that, I'd recommend putting some more durable tags on the cables so you know which one plugs in where (the came with tags to set it up, but they're just paper so they'll fall off eventually). Kick pedals have a nice weight to them, expected them to be cheap plastic but they have enough metal to not move when you're playing - even on smooth floors. Stool is fine - also nothing special but still made of metal and solid - easily supports the weight of an adult. Haven't played with all the different settings, but there's a lot of adjustments you can make to the sound with the digital control. Also has a small stand on top of it that's big enough for a phone/small tablet, but not a music boot. Overall I'm very happy with the drum kit for the price point it's at.

No one in our family plays the drums but wanted to give the kids an opportunity to learn, so we chose this as a beginner set for them. We thought the option of “quiet” would be a great feature. We did not realize that not being quiet wasn’t an option without a drum amp. Being inexperienced, we thought the options for an electric drum set would be silent with the headphones or normal expected drum sounds without them. There is a lot to learn with this drum set. While seasoned drummers may not choose this set, it may be a bit much for some young beginners but could possibly be the perfect fit for intermediate level learners.

I am very happy with the digital drum set so far. It was easy to assemble, similar to others I have used, not overly difficult in any way. Sufficient directions included. The kit is nice because I can use the headphones and not bother anyone while still practicing even in close quarters. The pads are responsive and the selection of different sounds you can choose is quite impressive as well. Overall I think its a great kit for a learner (like myself) I can't speak to how a pro would use this since I am just a novice myself. For me, its perfect and I love it. I feel it was a good price for what I got making it a good value.

Awesome beginner drum kit with a surprising number of sounds and settings. The mesh pads are quiet but responsive, and the included headphones are a plus. It’s compact, portable, and great for practice. Only minor downside: setup instructions could be clearer.
