I shoot live music photography for local DJs and have been using an old bag that finally needed to be replaced. This is a little smaller though I absolutely love the more efficient size! This fits my Sony full-frame Alpha camera with a f2 zoom lens snugly on one side while holding 2 additional full-frame lenses and a flash unit securely on the other side. The stash pockets inside the zip flap are great for additional memory cards and batteries to keep them handy. Seems like it'll protect my equipment from minor drops and keep it safe during transit. I saw a few reviews mention the shoulder strap adjustment is really long, which it definitely is. I could easily cut 8-10" off it and have more than enough room to adjust it to my body. I'm kinda slim, so maybe a larger person would need the space? Anyway, it holds great to my body when properly adjusted and is super easy to carry around. It holds just enough gear and maybe a snack in the stash pocket. Really good amount of detail for the price. Seems well constructed, seems to gold my gear securely, and looks cool. The red seam in the back isn't super noticeable unless you have something large in that pocket. I look forward to many years of use from this bag!

I shopped around for a camera bag that could also let me store other odds and ends for travel days that I didn't want to also carry a separate backpack. Though this isn't a large bag, it worked great for what I needed. I kept my camera on one side, and I used the other side for a mini tripod, a tiny "pancake" lens, camera strap, and lens hood. There was also room in the outer/front pocket for a small notepad, pen, and a granola bar or two. My biggest "plus" was when I realized I could use the underneath tripod straps as a legit water bottle holder. The straps extended long enough to loop up a normal-sized Nalgene bottle just right. Since I wasn't carrying a full tripod, this was a great way to have a bottle without having it bounce around hanging with a caribiner or something. Downside: One of the zippers occasionally "split" and had to carefully be re-zipped a couple times before it would stay zipped. Over the course of a 9-day trip, this happened maybe 3-4 times. Once I realized a little more intentionally careful zipping could help avoid this, it happened less frequently, but obviously it's not ideal. Not a big enough problem to warrant a bad review, though. Overall, I'm happy with the bag and it served to fit my needs really well. If given the chance to go back in time, I would still purchase this bag. UPDATE: I contacted Caden about the zipper issue, and they sent me a brand new bag for free! I’m really happy with the bag and the company. Great experience all around.

I would love to give this bag 5 stars, as it has some really great features, but it could use a few tweaks, and that keeps me from giving it that elusive fifth star. Please note that I haven’t yet taken this bag out to actually use it. These observations are from my examination and loading of the bag. The pros: The bag is sturdy and seems to be made of durable material. This applies to the zippers and other hardware, too. It’s also stylish. The interior compartments of this large version of the Caden sling bag are spacious enough for a Nikon, an extra lens, a small Sony, and a small video camera. There’s even a little room leftover. The inserts can be repositioned to accommodate your particular needs. There are straps underneath to hold a tripod (or walking sticks) if you want/need them. The bag feels very secure on the whole (see my recommendations, though), with its buckled panel covering the front of the bag. It seems like it would be difficult for a would be thief to open. The bag can be a shoulder bag (strap included) or a sling, and the sling strap can be attached to the left or the right. It could be worn on the front or the back (think back to the security I mentioned). It comes with a rain cover. And there is an external net pocket on one of the flaps that access the interior of the bag. Now for the suggestions: Make the overall bag a little lighter in weight. It’s a little heavy and bulky. There is no real place to easily store batteries and memory cards. This could easily be remedied by the addition of another pocket, either a closed in pocket on the second flap or perhaps one or two smaller pockets on the very front of the bag. In terms of security, I think this bag is pretty good, but it could be better. Make the zippers for the two interior compartments of the type that you could easily attach a double zipper closure to (or even a small lock). And make the zipper that allows you to open the cover to get to the exterior pocket a double with the aforementioned safety option. Even just a double zipper (by that I mean one that opens from either end) would be safer, as the two pulls could be stashed under the buckled strap. I think that covers it. I will add to this once I’ve a tually used the bag. Fingers are crossed!!

Excellent bag. On a trip to Colorado and carried my camera everywhere and this bag is so comfortable to wear and easy access to camera. Was able to carry camera and 3 lenses. I didn’t use the other zipper pockets but there is space for wallet, extra batteries etc. I would highly recommend this bag for comfort and ease. Good quality too.

I used this during a recent trip in the Himalayas. Just big enough for my mirrorless camera, two extra lenses, and some small accessories. Reasonably comfortable to sling across my back while walking, and easy to swing around front to grab the camera. Not as easy to get to the other side for a change of lenses. I'll use it on future trips, too.

I bought this bag thinking that “compact” means “small”. It doesn’t. It’s actually bigger than the bag that came with my camera (see photo). I was looking for a smaller bag that I could put in my carry-on for an upcoming trip and this definitely does not fit the bill (well, at least if I want to fit anything ELSE in my carry-on!). After discovering that, I planned to return it, only to discover it doesn’t qualify for free returns and the return charge is a completely unknown. I paid $22 for the bag and could imagine them easily charging me $15 for the return, which would just be a waste. Reevaluating the situation, I noted that it seems to be a well-made bag and is certainly of better quality than the freebie that they gave me when I purchased the camera kit. It also organizes things much better, allows me to secure my small tripod to the bottom, and would be far more comfortable to carry around. Based on all this, I decided to keep the bag as an upgraded normal storage bag instead of the smaller travel bag I had ordered it for. Things that aren’t so great: - Outer mesh pockets seem kind of useless. Not being enough for larger items like a water bottle but too exposed for delicate items. I guess you could probably shove a filter in there temporarily while you take a photo but it would be vulnerable to being scratched up if you left it there. Maybe an energy bar? One of them would fit my cell phone if I take it out of the wallet case. - Does NOT open up completely as pictured, so you can’t fully configure it. You can only work with the two divided compartments which takes away from the utility a bit - Doesn’t zip up completely. You need to be careful in a dusty location. Also, always use the clips to close it because otherwise the zipper could pull open easily - It says it carries two lenses but that would be true only if you don’t have many other assessories. I have a 55-300 lens, two small panoramic and telephoto lenses, a few filters, extra flash and a few cleaning items and it’s full, even using the front pocket. Would definitely not fit another full sized lens and I don’t have any space for a wallet or personal items. The good: - Seems sturdy - Well designed to sit well on your body when you carry it. I was a little confused by the waist strap (which is not mentioned in the description at all) but I can see how it would keep the bag from bumping around if you’re hiking with it or something. I was worried about it dangling there when you don’t use it but it tucks away into the Velcro compartment in back (where I think it’s also intended to stow the rain cover?) - Rain cover is a nice plus, especially given that it doesn’t seal completely when it zips up. - Tripod storage is nice, allows me to store all my gear together.

We bought this May 23, 2018. It has been over 6 months. In that short a time frame, we have really used this camera bag a lot. It has been so many places with us and has toted our camera around. It is super handy. In the main compartement, we fit our Nikon D500 DSLR camera with its attached lens (Nikon AF-S 16-80mm VR Lens Kit) along with a second lens (AF-S DX NIKKOR 16-80mm f/2.8-4E ED VR) in its own individual lens bag. The spare battery and battery charger fit nicely in the outside pockets, and the remote that we purchase with it fits nicely in the front zipper compartment along with the rain hood that came with the bag. It has room for a few more small accessories, but we have found that, what we can fit into this handy little camera bag is the majority of the instruments that we use. There is one thing to watch out for. The charger that we received has a detachable plug that you can store in the same outside pocket as the spare battery. Be careful how you place that detachable plug part in that mesh pocket because the metal plug prongs will cut the mesh pocket's sides if you aren't careful. It did mine a little bit, but I have been being careful with it since I discovered that little issue. We really love it for its handiness and convenience. We can put it pretty much anywhere we need to go, and it doesn't take up too much space. It will even fit snugly underneath our Graco baby stroller along with the baby's diaper bag. That allows us to be prepared for anything... clean or dirty... if you know what I mean! It slings over the shoulder nicely and securely, but don't tighten down the strap that runs vertically too much, as it will pull on the nylon lining and pull the lining loose from the bag (another lesson I learn, the hard way). We have been SUPER HAPPY with this little camera bag... like I said, it has been SUPER HANDY to tote around. God bless you and happy photographing!

This bag is super convenient to use. I really like that it has a rigid structure, so camera gear and lenses inside are safe even if the bag gets dropped. A big plus is the additional pockets where you can stuff a lot of accessories. There’s a separate stretchy pocket with a Velcro flap that’s especially handy. It also has plenty of carabiner loops, so you can strap a tripod or any extra items underneath. In short, the bag is really practical and I liked it a lot — but for me personally, it’s a bit too small. So unfortunately, I won’t be keeping it and will look for something similar in a slightly bigger size.
