They're great quality cables from a very reliable company. I do have a few gripes with them though: 1. They're too long. These are extensions, why are the they the length of full cables? I have a full ATX board and these cables could still lose 6 inches. When your cables are too long for a full ATX board, that's how you know they're too long. 2. Why are these not sent straightened and in a box? Why would you wrap them and tie them down in the middle so they arrive bent to heck? Much cheaper competitors send their extensions out perfectly straight and in a box and CableMod is supposed to be the premium option. The way these are packaged is unacceptable to me for custom cables where the point of them is to make the case cables look clean and nicely shaped. It's difficult and frustrating to reshape these things and get rid of all the unnecessary bending. 3. These are the same complaints I've voiced for several years now and it seems CableMod just doesn't listen to their customers. ... show more

It will always depend on your case, and power supply, however I think these are too long. I have the Phanteks Evolv X, and Fractal ion+ 860w which sadly cablemod doesn't make cables for. The original(fractal) cables would not reach the usual route people would take, however are fine for the little PSU shroud cut out for GPU cables, except that the daisy chained extra PCIe connector would be visible. This of course is a very short run, so nearly any extension will be long on top of all the original cable...however I doubt there's many cases with the need for 45cm extensions. I knew these would be more stiff than the originals(with paracord sleeves), however I guess I didn't think that would be as much of an issue. If there's one thing that would maybe improve issues with stiffness, it would be to package them in a larger circle of a wrap instead of back and forth hard angles which have to be straitened out. Would mean more issues like larger shipping costs to an extent, and package cost...however it would be nice for the customer. ... show more
