  • Cables seemed to be fine but I did not use them.
Size: ModFlex 8-pin (Asus & Seasonic) Color: Black
TL;DR: if you want custom colored cables to match a desired theme and/or you believe cable mod cables are easier to route and manage in your PC case, go for it. If you're not going for a particular theme and have lots of space, or even little space to route cables (I thought cable management in my Air Mini was easier without the cable mod cables), then you could save money and just spend a little time working on your cable management skills. You can achieve a clean build by zip tying multiple PCI cables together to make "one" long, flat cable that terminates at each end with the three connectors for the PSU/GPU, and you can place multiple ties along the cable to tame the shape and direction. First, I'd like to address the splice. I've seen other reviews dogging on the product because of it. I actually was concerned at first, but if you look at the end of the stock cables on the PSU end (the end you plug to the PSU), they have the full 8 wires running to it, but the actual connectors going into the PSU are missing two (like they're just empty where you look inside the connectors whereas in the other 6 you can see something for the PSU to interface with). The cable mod cables only have 6 wires on the PSU end, and then there's a splice or two along the way to the PCI/component connection side to make 8 as needed to plug into your hardware. They simply don't run wires to the 2 blank/empty ones I mentioned on the PSU side of the stock PSU cables. My specific power supply is listed as compatible with these cables and I don't think anything would happen if I had used them. Maybe I'm wrong, but the cables are similar in the way I've described. Besides, if you have an RTX 30xx card, you should be undervolting it to get the extra degrees lower temperature and possibly even slightly underclocking it so it's not constantly boosting to the skies and running high 70s/low 80 degrees C. My card is rated a TDP of 380 W and I can achieve an average of 230-250 W and 60-68 C average with my setup when gaming for 3-4 hours on highest settings and a 2k monitor, so I don't think the cable would have any issue delivering enough power to the GPU if I had used it. On to my next point, I didn't use any of the five cables I bought. I found them to be taking up more space in my case than if I just zip tied three of the flat, stock PCI cables together and ran them like that. The braided cables on this product look fine, but I think they're thicker, altogether and overall, than just using the stock cables. Needless to say, cable mod cables are not going to make your cable management skills any better simply by being what they are. I routed all of my stock cables fine, with some time and care taken to which order the cables were routed. I like a neat and tidy cable area in my case, but I don't care for a super clean, themed cable setup where my cables are out of sight. These cables didn't do anything for me to make cable management any easier, but that's in my case. Ultimately, if you're gonna buy cable mod cables, the best option if you can afford it would be to go custom. Get an idea what theme colors you want and how long you want the cables to be since you can have them made to a length you specify on their website. Be prepared to pay a premium if you do that. If your case or you yourself feel that cable mod cables are easier to fit and route in a case, go for it. I did not find this to be a necessity with my case. ... show more

  • Perfect
Size: ModMesh 8-pin (EVGA) Color: Light Blue
Looks, functions, and fits perfectly.

  • Works, not as chunky as OEM cables
Size: ModFlex 8-pin (Corsair RM Blk/RMi/RMx) Color: Black
Much easier to work with than the chonky OEM Corsair cables and they look much better. Still somewhat stiff, although that is to be expected with how much current these can pull and some likely overengineering due to fire/abrasion risk.

  • Does the job, could be better.
Size: ModMesh 8-pin (Asus & Seasonic) Color: Carbon
I bought this cable as my 3rd pcie cable for my 3080 ROG Strix GPU and it does the job. The cables are really stiff though. Not easy to manage in my opinion. If the were more easily movable that would be great.

  • Works well
Size: ModFlex 8-pin (Corsair RM Blk/RMi/RMx) Color: Black
This cable makes wire management look nice and clean. I like the fact its sleek and can hide well within a black PC. I just don't like the pricing. Kinda high for just wires. Overall, if you just need 1 or 2 cables to clean up your PC, just do it to make it look nice. If you don't care about how wires look then don't waste your money. ... show more

  • Best of the Best.
Size: ModFlex 8-pin (Corsair RM Blk/RMi/RMx) Color: Black
Sturdy yet flexible. The cable guides keep the cables lined up for a pro look, evenly apart. Connector fits tight enough to feels well secured without the need of extreme push pressure to push in. Price well worth it. Will not loose sturdiness with multiple plug and unplug.

  • Looks good in a case
Size: ModMesh 8-pin (EVGA) Color: Black + White
For the price this is a great option. Nothing special or fancy but does look very nice. The bends are a little tricky to train out but not impossible to do. I used this together with the full set of cable replacements also from CableMod and everything matches nicely.

  • Great if you need another 8-pin PCIe cable
Size: ModMesh 8-pin (EVGA) Color: Black
A great addition to CableMod's pro cable kits. Very pliable, not nearly has difficult to work with as the product description might lead you to believe. It's nicely braided, holds its shape well, and plugged in easily to my GPU. I also appreciated how the ends of cable were labeled, so you knew which side went into the PSU and which side was PCIe. The packing is resealable, but it had an inventory sticker over the product info sticker. This lead to some head scratching at first, since it made me wonder if this was the right cable or not. That's the fault of Amazon though, not CableMod. I would suggest CableMod looks into printing product info (aka cable type and PSU compatibility) onto the packaging though, just so tearing off an inventory sticker doesn't potentially leave the customer with a label-less product. ... show more
