  • Finaly a product that works
Style: 20Pin to 20Pin+20Pin 5Gbps
This device is essentially a bare USB3 hub intended for use inside your computer case. Naming the device as a hub would have been greatly beneficial, sparing me considerable time in my search. Unlike the very popular cable splitters, this hub is not degrading the speed of the connection for any of the two internal devices connected. It does share bandwidth so if you read/write to two outside devices at the same time the speed will go down for each device; that is to be expected. BTW it functions just as well if you have only one internal device connected to it (tested that for both ports). It's surprising to discover that there's only one hub available on the market for the widespread issue of adding multiple USB3 internal devices to a motherboard. Nowadays, most motherboards come with just one USB3.1 20-pin connector and perhaps a USB3.2 Type-E. If your case has only one USB port on the front, then you're set. If you, like me, need to add a card reader or require additional USB ports on the front, you have limited options. Cable splitters are widely used, but my experience has shown that only one side of the splitter functions at USB3 speed, while the other side operates at USB2 speed, even if only one device is connected to the splitter. It's interesting that multiple vendors across the internet offer the exact same device. There used to be more options, but they have been discontinued now. The device functions well. Although the speed is slightly lower than when it's not in use (as measured), it's not a difference that's noticeable in everyday usage. At first, the design choice of a small power connector with an extension cable for SATA power, along with a USB-A to 20-pin header and cables included in the box, was questionable. However, this design is beneficial as it minimizes the space needed for connectors on the PCB. The board is small. In addition to the power and data cables for the motherboard, there are two pieces of double-sided sticky foam provided, one of which is a spare, to secure the PCB inside your computer case. This foam also serves as an electrical insulator, preventing contact between the soldering points on the PCB's rear and the case. The PCB is designed with a hole for screw attachment. If you opt to use only the screw, you'll need an insulator for the PCB's back to protect it from the case's metal. The foam can be used without removing the protective paper, as it has pre-cut holes for the screw. However, a screw is not provided. I have found the foam alone to be sufficiently secure, as my cables do not require tight bending that would stress the adhesive. Should you need to relocate the hub, the second piece of foam can be used for the new setup. ... show more

  • Bent pins on Motherboard
Style: M-Key to 20Pin+Type-E 5Gbps
Used this to get Front Panel USB 3.0 ports to work after the pins got bent on the motherboard’s 3.0 header Doesn’t take up a full PCIe Slot yet added an additional header for the 3.0 front panel

  • Works perfectly!
Style: 20Pin to 20Pin+20Pin 5Gbps
I haven't tested the speeds yet, but it works without any issues with it or the computer. Now I can use all 4 usb3 ports on my case. They all work, just haven't tested the speed.

With the Newer Cases and Upgrading the Need to have Front USB 3.2 Connections is a Must this item was just what I needed to connect my Dual 19/20Pin Headers, and it Works Great Using a Lian Li Case With a 9thGen Intel Board

  • no better than a splitter
Style: Type-E to 20Pin+Type-E 5Gbps
this is junk. very slow speed, doesn't send full power to devices, clearly not usb 3.0 standard. no better than a simple splitter. i returned it.
