    • Perfect companion for my blafili B3 Bluetooth Receiver
Size: 6 ft
I recently picked up a Blafili B3 Bluetooth receiver to upgrade our audio setup (Samsung Q80T TV + Yamaha RX-V681 AVR) with hi-res LDAC support for pairing with my Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. Instead of using the stock optical cable that came with the Blafili B3, I opted for a higher-quality one, which was absolutely worth it and delivers fantastic sound quality when connected to the Yamaha RX-V681. The setup was simple and straightforward. I mostly listen to smooth jazz, and the audio quality is outstanding. I highly recommend this for anyone connecting a Bluetooth receiver to an AVR. ... show more

    • Great value
Size: 6 ft
These cables are well made and very sturdy. They fit my optical ports perfectly and were very easy to install. They produce the same sound quality as the cables included with my soundbar. (Those were a little too short.) I'm very pleased that such high quality cables cost just $10.

    • Very good looking optical cable
Size: 25 ft
While optical cables are likely very similar at their core, it doesn't hurt to have one that looks good on the outside. I needed to connect two stereos in different rooms and was initially apprehensive about the length as well as the flexibility due to the limited space behind my receiver. Happily, this cable worked better than anticipated. The cable itself feels solid and is more flexible than expected. I was able to bend the cable in a tight enough arc to accommodate for the roughly 3 inches of clearance behind my receiver in its closet. It was actually able to hold an arc very close to that of much lighter jacketed TOSLINK cables. Note: it is still stiffer than average. My other concern was signal quality at 25 feet. The TOSLINK spec is 10m with a practical limit of 5m (~15ft). I took a very non-scientific approach of comparing the apparent brightness of the receiver's output to what could be observed after passing through the cable. The cable's output was noticeably dimmer, but still pretty bright. One star was deducted for the brightness loss, which I feel is due to the quality of the optical core. My main concern was imperfections in the core causing internal reflections and cause bit errors. While I have no means to measure the actual bit-error-rate (BER), the sound quality did not seem to suffer as a result of the length; there were no dropouts, pops, snaps, or other disturbances. The cost was a bit higher than similar cables, but for me, the metal connectors and braided jacket were enough window-dressing to convince me to make the jump. It is up to you whether the appearance is important enough to justify the additional expense. In any case, it works very well for my needs! Packaging: If you are interested, the cable was packaged in a heat-sealed poly bag. ... show more

    • The best budget cable brand there is.
Size: 6 ft
Not much to say about an optical cable, it functions and looks/feels high quality. The brand, Cable Matters, has been fantastic for years, they always hit above their price point.
