As I stood there, pondering my predicament, I came upon a solution - a sagacious contrivance known as the fan splitter cable. Used to power an extra fan on a PC with limited fan headers. The main connector is well labeled and goes to the master fan to receive data and power from the existing header. I connected another fan to one of the 2 remaining splitter ends and it worked right away, duplicating the speed of the master fan. A very convenient way to add fans and airflow if there are limited fan headers on the motherboard. Connectors are all good quality, highly recommended.

I need to control a group of three fans from a single motherboard PWM header, and this splitter cable works perfectly. Connections are solid and stable, and the color and jacketing even match the fan wiring. This is a great answer when fan wiring doesn't support a daisy chain connection.
