These are ok. When I unwrapped them I found that the sharper edges were slightly bent and splentered a little, there were also some manufacturing snags and catches where a different piece of machinery was switched out and used at the sharp corners. It took a little bit of repair work (just used some sandpaper) and fixed it right up. I don’t think they’re worth the price for the quality necessarily. Also, it’s possible that I just got a lemon. They’re the right shapes I need for foot and rib work and am ultimately happy with them simply because I didn’t want to make my own lol ... show more

I bought these as part of a gift for my son. As soon am not a ceramics person at wasn’t sure if they would be useful. My son was very happy when he opened the box and figured out what he had received. He began a sing them right away and says they’re great for his smaller pottery projects.

Byllstore Triangle Pottery Ribs & Trimming Tools | 2 Foot Shaper Tools | 6 Clay Texture Ribs | Solid Beech Wood | 8-Pack First impressions: Nicely made shaping ribs made out of stout wood. The edges are rounded and ready to use. Installation/setup: Use with a pottery wheel to shape clay into pots or cups as desired. Can also be used with slab build works. Final thoughts: These are nice and they will last a long time. The main way these are used is after you get your clay on the wheel and center it. Pull up the walls to the desired height and then take one of these and press it lightly into the sides of the work, thus imprinting the clay with the shapes or even using them to shape the foot before trimming. I like these and I’m glad I got them. ⭐️1 star - I don't recommend it at all, poor quality. ⭐️⭐️ 2 stars - I don't recommend it, it has multiple faults, or a very high price. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars - It's passable, It has some faults but the quality is ok for what it is. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars - Product quite acceptable, it does what it promises. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars - Product that I totally recommend. ... show more

I think these are a great addition to any ceramic artists tool box. The triangular tools are excellent for handbuilding, they make very unique textures on slabs and add a lot of depth to your pieces. The 2 foot shaper tools are interesting, I do like to leave the bottoms of my pots thicker when throwing to trim in a decent sized foot, so these work better for throwing thinner, where you don't have to trim in as much of a foot, at least in my opinion, I know everyones studio practice is different :) I don't get them soaking wet during cleanup, just wipe them down with a damp cloth and they're holding up well so far.
