I was looking for an upgrade from a smaller igloo canteen to a larger size. This was at least 2x the size and almost 3x the price of my igloo. I love it. I liked the colors and tried this one out. And hey.. two metal cups too. Cool. First off I never take it out of the carry sleeve in part because of insulation and also partly because of the carry strap. Color of the jug didn’t matter. Meh. The lid and handle is nice and sturdy with no issues after 6 months of use. Keeps the water colder longer than my igloo so I’m very pleased with my purchase and would do it again in a heartbeat.

In short, this is a guilty purchase since I was tired of refilling 1/2-gallon thermos at my 15- or 20-minute breaks at work. That thermos did not keep dust and debris off the pour cap or out from underneath the main lid. This however is the opposite of that due screw-on feature of the pour cap. The handle and hinges that connect to the main lid seem quite sturdy and well-made as well as the container itself. However, I did see at least one review that showed the handle breaking off from the cap. However, if this does happen, I am decent at fabricating and making it so that it is fixed. My current idea of preventing all of this from happening is getting a case with a strap. Preferably a gun sling of some sort instead of the normal strap or perhaps a tool bag strap will be used instead of whatever strap is used on the case of my choice. This has plenty of capacity for the currency spent. In all honesty, I have yet to test the 48-hour cold drink claim. It remained cold for 12 hours that is what I do know. However, I am quite certain that it will outperform this claim, due to other people's reviews. I am not much of a hot drink person so not much to say about that. Well not until winter anyway. I absolutely love that this came with two 16-ounce stainless steel cups. Their claim of it being leakproof is accurate. I can only hope that this is the last thermos I ever buy. Would I recommend it? Absolutely! especially if you are a person who likes a lot of water or whatever other beverage you choose to put in it. The best thing about this is that it does not hold the flavor of previous drinks like with the plastic-lined thermos options that are out there. This thing takes up a sizeable amount of space so not exactly convenient in that regard but then you could get a smaller size. What do you expect out of a gallon container some degree of modesty? Move on! Yes, the main lid is a bit of a struggle to unscrew due to the width of it, and that there is a vacuum seal. I find such a struggle to be a bit easier if the pouring cap is unscrewed before unscrewing the main lid. However, if you would like such a process to be a little bit easier perhaps glue on some of that material that is used in a kitchen drawer for a liner.

This 1g jug works perfect for me. No leaks. holds the water cold for days on end. No issues whatsoever. Its also the perfect size to fit a entire tray of icecubes in it. (you literally dont even need to break the ice cubes up either as the ENTIRE tray fits in this)

I no longer have to refill my bottle while at work, as large as it is I was worried the insulation (same as the Buzio 64oz) would not keep cold as well, but in fact, worse as well maybe even a little better, it is also tough, it has taken a couple hard falls off my work truck while driving, and the worst damage was the lever tab of the flip up sipper breaking off, and orderd a new lid, but no damage to the bottle or handle, minus 1 star for not being able to remove the outer cover, bit other than that, I will always order Buzio brand for my insulated drinking vessel needs.

I just got done cleaning mine for the night and my kids probably think I’m weird which I am. But I kept telling my jug that I loved it. I purchased my 128oz shadow on September 3rd of 2021 and I must say I put this thing through abuse. It has a dent in it but it’s a cute dent, I have accidentally melted the handle a tad bit nothing serious it adds character but I have had it on top of a hot asphalt paver on some of the hottest days in the summer and my water was still cold after 10hrs. I mean ice cubes were still in there. I love it. The only reason I am on here is that I want to get a new thermal cover thing for it. It is not needed mine is just dirty.
