  • Another Great Option from Bushnell
Style: G4P Reticle
There are a lot of very good reviews that have been done on the XRS3 and if spending $1700 on something I suggest that anyone do a good amount of research on whatever it is. Up front I think the Bushnell XRS3 is one of the best optics in it's $2k price range. It might not have all the niceties of a Schmidt and Bender, but it also doesn't cost $3500. It is a wonderful, well thought out, well made and reliable optic with good consistent adjustments and quality glass. A person, probably most people, could use it for a lifetime and never have a true need for more performance. It is fairly short for it's magnification, making the fact the glass is so clear more impressive. It is also built with gravity, this is not a mountain rifle optic. I had purchased a Bushnell DRM 6.5-21x50 almost twenty years ago as my first good quality long range rifle scope. I had heard good things about it from friends, and at the time it was about the most economical way to get a quality scope with the Horus H59 reticle. Bushnell at that time was making their entry into the tactical side and had hired a very well regarded retired Special Forces sniper to help oversee it. For the next 15 years or so it was my only long range scope and was a very well made, yet precise, tank. I still have it and use it. So I had no qualms about getting my hands on the new and updated XRS3 6-36x56 scope with the G4P reticle. I can say measured through my lens of experience that it is improved in every way over my trusty old DMR. The G4P is much improved over the trusty old H59 reticle in many ways, though either serve well. The adjustments and zero locks are good, but not great. You get 10 MILs per turn and the adjustments are tactile and barely audible on mine. They are 100% functional, but if you've been playing with optics in the $3k range you may notice it. The adjustments were correct and repeatable in the box test. I will freely admit that I like the Horus type reticles in large part because I don't like to dial every shot. The turret locks are simple push pull and the zero lock requires removing the turret cap to set. The glass is very good and better than average for around this price point. The edges start to get fuzzy near max magnification and the eye box gets really small, but you have a lot of magnification and a short tube, so it is more impressive than being a complaint. This is very similar to the old HDR and had I not added a couple Leupold MK6s to my stable, I would not have noticed. If you are going to be doing a lot of shooting at the very top end it is something to be aware of, and likely try before you buy if possible. I am very happy with it and expect it will become a very long term resident of the vault like it's older brother. My only true gripe is that Bushnell did not include any scope caps. I would be very happy to have had a set of lens caps over a sunshade to protect my expensive new optic. ... show more

  • Great Scope.
Style: G4P Reticle
This is a flagship brand with a lot of history. The scope is excellent for beginners and professional use. The parallax adjustment is a must if you wear glasses. The clicks are noticeable and spot on. So far no issues with operation of scope in zeroing in on your target. I’m very pleased overall and feel this is a good price point for what you get. My only grip is no mounts. 34mm is not as common in stores so be ready to order them. Otherwise I love the scope. ... show more

  • Bushnell's Elite Tactical 6-36x56mm XRS3 Riflescope is both a piece of art and very professional...
Style: G4P Reticle
The media could not be loaded. Bushnell's Elite Tactical 6-36x56mm XRS3 Riflescope is both a piece of art and very professional... It goes from 50 yards to 1,000 Yards and infinity. It has an eye relief focus dial for those who wear glasses and/or contacts, etc. It is very well designed and manufactured. It doesn't have anything to connect it to your rifle so you will have to buy that separately but aside from that I am very impressed to say the very least. If you need/want to long distance shoot or hunt in daylight you'll want to add this scope to your personal weapon if you haven't already to help with your marksmanship in every way a very good high end and very powerful scope can help. The glass and optics in general are top of the line. I do wish standard mounting rings were included. The included accessories are very good and professional as well althoughI do wish the Bushnell tool was metal instead of plastic buy aside from that one very small advice for future upgrade I absolutely love the way this scope, looks, feels and works. Two thumbs up. Good day & God Bless... Randall M. Rueff K9RMR ... show more
