  • A Courageous and Noble Scope That Gave It's All for Others
I mounted this 4-12x scope on a Umarex breakbarrel .177 caliber Nitrogen Spring pellet rifle I use to get ingredients for my famous Squirrel Chili. I got it sighted in at 30m and it worked great with no detectable image distortion. I used it for about 100 rds of practice. After putting the rifle on the table to clean it, I accidentally brushed the rifle as I walked by and it fell off of the table. I turned as I heard the heavy gun slide off the table but was too far away to stop the inevitable. And then, as incredulous as it sounds, I watched as the new Bushnell scope, somehow sensing the potential for damage to the tool I use to put dinner on the table for my family, immediately twisted that rifle in midair such that it's own Elevation Knob Cover and Objective Lens took the impact with the tile floor, sparing the rifle any damage. I never would have imagined that a scope, so newly freed from it's box and given the opportunity to be fulfilled in its optical-magnifying purpose for only so short a time, would choose to sacrifice itself in such an act of unmitigated naked altruism. Such a completely selfless offering was certainly unexpected, but very much appreciated. *doffs cap* God Be Wi' Ye Where e're Ye Are, Bushnell 614124 Banner Dusk & Dawn Multi-X Reticle Adjustable Objective Riflescope, 4-12X 40mm. Yours was a passing worthy of legend. I'll buy another one shortly. ... show more

  • Lens cracked after 30 rounds, you get what you pay for.
Bought this because the reviews said it was a good value scope. I zeroed it in with about ten rounds, pretty sharp picture. After about 35 rounds, though, the picture began to warp. A few rounds later, the focusing lens cracked on the edge. A few rounds later, the lens(es) made the whole picture appear cracked and chipped. I'm 3 days out from my hunt, I've dumped sizable money into mounting and zeroing this scope, I don't have the time or money to get a new one mounted and zeroed by opening day. You get what you pay for, save and buy a better quality scope. ... show more

  • I was skeptical, but, then I ordered this and set it up.........
Ok, I got a Ruger American Rifle in 308 that cost me $333, and its turned out to be a EXCELLENT rifle for the cost, so, I wanted to get an inexpensive scope that could handle the pairing, but still be usable, and cost the purchaser sub 450 dollars. Yes, it is possible to be inexpensive but still be functional and accurate. Got this scope yesterday, got it mounted, and today I did the 10 yard, get it on paper preliminary sight in. Hit about one inch to the right, dead center up and down, close enough I am ready to take it to 50 yards for the next adjustment. Thoughts, its heavy, its damned well built, made in Korea, not China, optics are IMPRESSIVE for a 97 dollar scope, once you set the distance you are sighting on the adjustable objective, and use the quick adjust rear dial, the target looks good at distance or up close, at 12X a target 100 plus yards away, was clear and easily visible, I was sighting on some small road signs at 12X approximately 200 yards away, and the letters and numbers were clear and visible. I can't comment on durability, yet, but based on first sight, and first firing observations, this is truly a remarkable value for a scope for your rifle. Its so cheap, its feasible from a 22 up to a large hunting rifle. One other note for you "american snipers" the adjustment knobs while hidden, can be reset to zero, once the scope is sighted in, IE, if you want to dial in 500 yard shots, you can go from 0 to say, 15, and back, without losing your base zero, when you take a closer shot, same with windage. Thats a pretty "Military feature" for a civi scope, and nice if you do want to reach out and touch someone at 1000 yards. ... show more

  • Very good scope, but not a low-light scope as its name leads you to believe.
I bought this scope to put on my older Marlin 22 Mag Rifle. This is the second one of these that I have. The other scope is on a .243 Remington that my kids use and it performs well. Let me just say that I own plenty of guns and scopes, and although this scope is very good for its price range, it doesn't gather light anything like your Leupold Vari XII's or better Nikon's. So for deer hunting, I wouldn't recommend this scope although my kids have killed several using it. You will have a hard time getting "first-light" shots off accurately with this scope, but for use in decent light it is all you need. ... show more

  • Great scope!
I have this sitting atop an M1A chambered in 7.62x51mm. It has nice clear optics and has held up to the recoil with no lose of zero. Very good optic for the price!

  • Excellent value.
It's very bright. The adjustable objective is just what you need especially for close in shooting on small game like squirrels. Makes an excellent .22 cal. scope. Most scopes are parallax free at 100 yds. The error at 30 yards without the AO will definitely make you miss small game. Great value for your money. I have used Bushnell Banner Scopes for many years with no problems. ... show more

  • Make sure to check you get what you ordered.
This box was previously opened. It was missing one of the turret caps and worst of all I ordered a 4x12 40 and as you can see received a 3x9 40.

  • Best out there at this price level
Optics: Very Good Parallax Adjustment: Excellent 10 yds to ~ Eyepiece Focus: Fast-Focus...no locking collar to mess with If this is your budget level, this is your scope if you need a 4x12. I liked that it's not huge, so doesn't look out of place on my Remington Model 7 Predator.
