The media could not be loaded. Easy, easy, easy to assemble. Just make sure your back panels are lined up and that the mid line for nails is lined up with the middle shelf. Boxes are pretty heavy but I just popped them open where they were delivered and took them in the house piece by piece. The back is NOT smooth, I mean it is except for the two fold lines running vertically where it had to be folded. It is what it is, I just put stuff in from of them. 🤷🏼♀️ middle shelf is in a fixed position (the one with the photo albums and jewelry). Directions were 10/10 super simple. I needed a lego bookcase & researched for weeks to find something deep enough for baseplates & wide enough without being short. This does the job. Pro: Easy to put together; took about 1 hour per bookshelf. Instructions are straightforward (just know that when assembling, have rough edges facing up). Deep, wide, & tall enough. Does the job I needed it for and looks good enough for my lego display. Shelves are twice as wide as the cheap bookcases; I needed something sturdy. Cons: Hairline cracks in one of my bookshelves on the long end and a break in the shelf. No back, just that cardboard piece (which is why bookcase is misleading as it is actually a bookshelf). This is an OK bookshelf. I do not have IKEA nearby, so amazon was the only reasonable option within my price range. I would buy this again if I wanted more shelves. Roughly $400 for a 2 pack. Better than the $40 small bookshelves. Don’t expect perfection & you will not be disappointed. Edit to say: I will be purchasing this 2 pack of bookshelves again. I have more lego than I thought. These are amazing shelves for collectors. Easy to assemble, so pretty easy to disassemble (except for backing with nails; might have to rip it off and have an open back if you want to take these in a move). My Harry Potter Lego takes up 1 shelf alone. Adding a few of these on a wall together will give it the built in look. A day of reflection & I love these shelves! ... show more

I have purchased 4 of these shelves recently and of them 3 were easy to put together and I was pleasantly surprised to have an extra screw or nail in each box. That turned out to be a blessing because one of the four was a complete cluster. One of the side walls did not have the shelf holes or base holes drilled in the wood at all, and the holes that were drilled in the opposite side board had one row that was a 1/16th inch off from the other set, causing the shelves to set lopsided. My husband had to measure and drill the missing holes. I couldn’t send the shelves back because the box was torn up in the unpacking and the entire thing weighs over 100#. I’m still waiting to hear back from Bush Furnature. This particular box was also missing a few screws and other small hardware. It was like the quality control personnel were on break when this one came through. If it hadn’t been for the one totally messed up unit I would have been able to give them a 5 star rating, but the frustration and disappointment caused by the messed up unit make that impossible. 25% failure rate is not acceptable. Not happy with Bush right now, would have been a repeat customer if this hadn’t happened. Their ‘inexpensive’ furniture is too expensive for these kind of mistakes. ... show more

I like the shelves. Got mine quickly and were easily put together. The shelves are thick and hold items without bending. Though my tabs keep coming out but whatever. My only complaint is that the diagram pictures has the correct dimensions for height and depths but not width. I thought that I was buying 36" wide shelves but they are actually 37" which threw off my whole design and required that I buy a new center shelf which is very hard to find int dimensions that I need. Nice looking shelves and much heavier duty that other put together furniture I've bought with thick shelves. The simple design makes assembly a breeze, total assembly time was 45 minutes start to finish with the most tedious step being tacking the backer board on. I had a 50% chance of getting each piece assembled correctly the first time. Had to undo and redo practically every piece. The good news is I overcame the learning curve by the second unit.
