I don't usually leave reviews but I was so happy with Bush Furniture's customer service and the bookcase looks great so I wanted to give their product a shout out. I actually received this bookcase with both side pieces cracked right across the middle. I suspect at no fault of Bush Furniture or Amazon, but most likely UPS, as I imagine this is a common problem with bulkier packages. Anyway, I was expecting to have to go through the trouble of shipping an 80lb box back to Amazon, but Bush Furniture had a flyer inside that asked to give their customer service a chance first if there were any problems. I figured why not, and I'm glad I did, as they shipped out both side panels promptly at no charge. You cannot take this kind of support for granted, even though many do, and I'm very happy they were willing to help out. Once I received the replacement side panels and assembled the bookcase I was very happy with how it looked. It's very easy to put together, and once it's complete it's very sturdy. The workmanship in this bookcase is excellent. Everything fit perfectly and went together exactly, even the back. I would highly recommend this to anyone needing a bookcase or display shelving. It is heavily loaded with books and no sagging or problems with the shelves.

Received it today and it was nicely packed and arrived timely. Not solid wood but if it were it would be five times the price! It’s well made and looks good. Good assembly instructions though some parts were a little vague (like orientation and finished sides) but it was easy to figure out. One small nail was missing but again no problem. All hardware was bagged separate and tidy. I recommend this bookcase and would buy it again. ... show more

attractive and sturdy Since the bookcase is not $800, they are made as you would expect. If there were a negative word spoke, it would serve to distinguish a person inexperienced in bookcases Wood glue creates a bond that only a sledge hammer can break

Sorry for the bad photo but this was easy to put together and feels sturdy. Packing was GREAT. No chips or scratches. That is something I appreciate and willing to pay extra for to get it in new condition. I recommend getting this bookshelf above all others on Amazon.

It is priced appropriate for the bookshelf. It is sturdy enough, good looking enough, and relatively easy to put together. The only thing that lowers the score for me is the back plate, which in my case was not cut square and I had to really work to get it to fit across the whole back. TLDR: the shelf is nothing special. This was easy to assemble however the feet are plastic and the screw to attach the feet are very long and can be hard to screw into place. It’s a bit on the small side. If you’re looking to make all the shelves fit binders that hold 8 1/2 X 11 papers you need to know that you can only hold it on 2 or possibly 3 shelves the others will have to be adjusted to hold smaller items. ... show more

The bookcase is crafted with sturdy materials, but the darn thing wobbles. That’s usually the case with everything though. Three legs are fine, but the fourth is either longer or shorter, which is the issue I have. I placed something underneath the leg and the bookcase is perfect.
