The first thing I need to say is that I am frustrated that I bought this desk on June 15th for $439.99 and now, on June 28th it is listed for $369.99! I would definitely say this is more a $369.99 desk. Pros -It looks okay and for $369.99 I would say it is what you'd expect from a desk -The surface area is large -The overall desk feels sturdy Cons -As many have pointed out it is a bit challenging to put together. My wife and I are very handy but it still took the two of us a full 3 hours to assemble it. Make sure you have lots of room while putting it together and take your time and really look at the pictures (there is very little written instructions) . You will not be able to fully assemble this alone - The drawers and doors are a bit cheap. The doors don't line up all that great even with endless adjustments -The keyboard tray is a lot smaller than I expected. I thought I read reviews of people saying it was large. I have a standard Dell keyboard with number pad and with that on the keyboard tray I have about 6 inches left for the mouse. You may need to put the mouse up on the main desk if you need lots of motion. -The feet are plastic. They are functional but the picture makes them look like they are a bit better quality then they are. They really are just a cheap beige plastic Overall, I guess the desk is alright. I work from my home office approximately 10 hours a day. I needed more space to spread out with my laptop, monitor, conference phone and printer and still have room to work with my client files. This desk has a great plat workspace. I don’t have a PC to put in the cupboard space so I am using the space to store office supplies such as paper and file folders in the back part and a small trash can in the front. The desk was shipped in two flat packed boxes. The first thing I did was to line up all the boards and sorted the various screws into a muffin tin. Checked to make sure everything was there. Following the instructions was not difficult if you take your time and follow each step one by one. I completed the build in a little over 2 hours working by myself and taking my time. I would recommend having a second person help with the vanity panels and the desk top. They are pretty heavy and the surface can get scratched pretty easy. For the price this desk is very well build and looks great. I would like to see a more scratch resistant surface but I will just have to be extra careful. This is why I could not give a 5 star rating. I would recommend this desk for my fellow remote workers out there. ... show more

I just received and put together this desk, and wanted to give my thoughts while they were fresh. First, I really like the look of the desk. It is a moderately dark cherry-looking desk. It has modern straight lines, with a sophisticated touch of putting the desk on small legs. The wood is heavy, thick, and shouldn't sag or warp at the center intersection (which is supported by two hefty metal brackets). The desk is an excellent size to allow a computer on one side, and have several books spread out on the other wing. The design is flexible, so you can mount the keyboard tray under either section of the desk, and you can choose which end has the drawers and which end has the cabinet (though, once you've chosen, you'd have to completely disassemble the desk to swap the cabinet and drawers... so choose wisely!). Second, as with most things, there is room for some improvement. The veneer is next to impossible not to flaw during construction. I was EXTRA careful when assembling (taking about twice the time other reviewers have stated), but still ended up with a small scratch in the front of one of the drawers and several "rubs" on the corners and edges. The veneer is attractive, but kind of touchy. The drawer fronts are adjustable, but still darn near impossible to adjust to make them look square (see the photo). The way the wood frame around the drawers is assembled can also leave them in funny positions (see the bottom cross member below the large drawer in the photo), which may require several attempts to adjust the brackets holding them. Finally, the edges of the desk are very hard/sharp, and if you find your arms resting on them, they will get uncomfortable fast. Some final notes: The assembly was straightforward, but took several hours, so be prepared for a project. The desk came in two boxes, both of which I were heavy enough to need the use a hand-truck to pull into the house and into the office. Also, some reviewers have been disappointed that the legs are plastic, but I found them to be attractive, quite sturdy, and they are attached very well and would require some serious energy to break off. Overall, my complaints are cosmetic. Everything works, and I enjoy the look of the desk, the sturdiness of the construction, the ability to expand it with other matching options in the future from Bush (a hutch, file cabinets, etc), and the huge amount of workspace it gives me. ... show more

Took a while to get my office totally done, it’s a process but am so happy with it and get a ton of compliments on the desk. Modern style yet also timeless. I went with Ashgrey to straddle the grays and browns, especially later when grey is not so trendy. Overall assembly went well. Take your time, read and follow instructions thoroughly. A couple of my panels were not labeled with part numbers but easy enough to figure out. I did have one chipped board and manufacture service was excellent. Took some patience to get drawers adjusted to be straight and glide nice but that is what it takes, patience and they are awesome. Changes I made: swapped out smaller screw heads on drawer slides to make glide a little smoother and quieter. Added drawer tray (shown in picture) that rides on top of drawer to fit 2 layers of storage, Cut down the keyboard shelf to use to hide my pile of active work papers/to do at end of day rather than keyboard. Cut hole in back of computer cabinet to run chords. Desk is spacious, very functional, nice quality/value. Love the color. I think Bush is better manufacturer than Sauder for similar price range. All hardware seems nice quality. Feet are plastics, but they look nice. I would definitely buy again. ... show more
