I like the quality of this desk system; although it's made of manufactured wood, the fact that the desk, hutch, and bookcase weigh over 400-500 lbs tells you that it's pretty thick and very sturdy. It took two of us almost 12 hours to put it together, including the wide filing cabinet. The instructions were pretty clear, except that I made a mistake by putting the backing of the hutch backward, so the wood grain is against the wall, and once you put all of the nails in, they're in for good. Challenging to put together, missing some parts and a board was not labeled and had holes for pins cut incorrectly and required modifications. Cheap particle board and already not holding up to bumps and incidental kicks.
