We absolutely love this cabinet. We are using it in place of our old computer desk we had in our dining room (we don't have a seperate office). It is elegant looking and hides our computer and printer wonderfully. We did a buy small external fan to put in the cabinet that helps with airflow so the computer doesn't over heat. This has worked out great. Everyone in the house can comfortably sit under and type on the pullout shelf. We use our old rolling desk chair and it fits under the drawer just fine. If you need a space saving decorative way to hide your computer in plain sight, I highly recommend this product. This product and review left here are not 100%. Let's start with the color it said Vintage Black is more like light brown. Sturdiness is not that great, the material is very cheap, The soon I took the cabinet out of the box you can't feel the material, Cardboard and cheap plywood, and some part is just Cardboard. The hinges are very light metal, feel like toy material. This unit should not exceed $85.00. Instruction are very good nothing I ever see before. It does take 2-3 hours to assembly. Beware will scratch easy. I'm using this for my printer and other stuff for my office. I will post some picture later.... ... show more

We needed some extra food pantry storage and this was just perfect for our need! It fit wonderfully in the area we designated, and is truly a quality piece of furniture...but with one small thing I wish was different with this piece, and that's I wish the laminate backboard was just as solid as the rest of this piece, but at least it's not visible where we have it, nor does it really affect the durability. The black goes well with the color scheme in our kitchen and dining room, as does the pewter hardware. The top drawer pulls out smoothly and is a great spot for my most used cookbooks, notepads, pens etc. The bottom 2 doors open effortlessly, and the storage cabinet is deeper than I originally thought, so there's lots of food storage! I will say be sure to give yourself plenty of time to put this piece together (2-3 hours). Every piece was included, nothing was missing, and there are several videos available in the instruction manual that you can scan and look up on youtube if needed. And though not necessary, a drill would speed things up as there are lots of screws to this piece. Hubby and I are very happy with our purchase and would recommend it to others...it's stylish and a beautiful addition to our home. ... show more

If a 70 year old woman can assemble both the cabinet and computer chest all by herself, it's a well engineered piece. I did use my little electric screw driver, and it would have been a tougher task without it. Gets my "Best written, simple instructions" award too. Holes were all aligned correctly. I was so happy after the first piece that I ordered a companion piece. Wouldn't hesitate to try other piece from this brand. My office is now complete! P.S. I took off a star for sturdiness only because this is not pre-made furniture. But I have both pieces loaded with supplies and all is well. ... show more

My husband was amazed at the assembly instructions for this desk. Every piece had a sticker and everything was labeled correctly. The instructions were printed in plain English and easy to understand. We are so used to getting products with pictures and no written instructions, this was a wonderful surprise. He's still taking about it! The desk is beautiful and sturdy and not cheap at all. Even the hinges are heavy duty and the outside hardware is beautiful. I'm really glad I bought from this company. This is exactly what I needed for my new work from home situation due to the COVID-19 crisis. I wanted to have my work area in the living room without it being obvious that there is a workstation. I needed a piece of furniture for our kitchen that would become the bill-paying table. All the mail and bills just seem to end up on the kitchen table or island. This is a great top surface for filing that away and an even better pull out drawer for my laptop to be stored in when I'm not using it. This is a sturdy and finely made piece of equipment, not the usual particle board flimsy junk I'm used to getting. I had wanted to go to IKEA, but COVID made that impossible. I'm actually glad my plans were thwarted. This took me a few hours to assemble, but I'm very happy with the purchase. This works so well for my computer work station. As I work from home, I can then put all my things away at night and still work in my living room. I used to be relegated to the basement which I hated. The only thing is that I wish there was a wooden option, with real screws and nails. if it was real wood, this piece would become an heirloom! I love the design so much!!! I can even fit my printer in it when not in use. I could probably leave it in there to use also if it were the only thing stored in there, but I have a lot of other things in it. However, I tried moving this over an inch on my carpet and it looks like it will separate if I move it again because it is particle board and the joints begin to separate if lifted. I just bought another "secretary" at an antique shop for almost $100 less made of real wood for my husband. I gave it 4 stars because It did say "wood" as the top material type and nothing else. I was hoping for the best, but got good quality particle board. The one door hinge is still crooked so the one door hangs lower, but that's because I just haven't adjusted it yet. I wish they made all of their furniture in wood! Especially for the price. All that said, I really love it for now, just don't know if I will be able to move it once we remodel. ... show more
