I ordered this desk for my home office. It arrived on time and was well packaged. No damage to any part of the box or its contents. My complaints are that the quality is very poor and it looks and feels cheap. It's a photo finish and feels like cardboard. The finish is almost like paper and if you were to set a drink on it without a coaster, it appears that the finish would bubble up from any condensation. Also, there was a part sticker on one of the front facing pieces and when my husband peeled it off, it ripped off a large part of the "photo finish" of the support bar. I will not be buying from Bush Furniture again and I do not recommend this desk. It will probably be in the garbage within a year. It's bulky and too many pieces to send back so I'll just deal with it for now but don't make the same mistake I made in ordering this desk. ... show more

The assembly was not hard compared to other desks and filing cabinets. My previous filing cabinet was larger but converted some files to letter and made it work. It holds legal hanging files but not as many as it has more space for letter. I received one small broken piece. Customer service was very kind and shipped a replacement part for free. Water doesn't stain the surface but does show a spot until it dries. I am not good with assembling things and flipped the desk too soon. A non important structure piece tore the laminate off the leg. But after fully assembling, it is not noticeable and customer service was willing to replace that piece. I just didn't want the hassle of taking it apart and reassembling. First off, the desk is nice and sturdy once assembled. I'm disappointed with the edges of the surface, I can feel a little lip, as ever so slight as it may be, I feel this will cause the veneer to start to peel eventually . . . sooner rather than later. I didn't realize this was compressed wood when I purchased, it was not in the description and I missed it in the reviews. Assembly was very easy, ever hole matched up perfectly. The filing cabinet draw bottoms are just a thicker piece of cardboard. Since I'm using hanging folders, I don't think it's that big of a deal but, I would have liked a stronger bottom. I added some gorilla glue around the edges to make that bottom piece a bit stronger. Overall, it looks great in my room so, I'm satisfied about that but, I think it's over priced for the quality and I'm concerned the veneer will start to peel well before I get my money's worth out of this product. ... show more

We purchased the whole set and it took two days to put all of the pieces together (desk, file cabinet, bookcase and small rolling drawers). The assembly alone makes these pieces incredibly overpriced. The back of the file cabinet is a piece of cardboard. Not particle board, but actually cardboard. This was a huge disappointment. The tracks on one of the drawers fell apart, so we called customer service who sent us a ton of parts to make the piece sturdier and replace the track. Overall we would not purchase this set again. It’s serving a purpose but definitely not worth the price tag or amount of assembly time. I would not consider Bush Furniture if all of their pieces lack both quality and require massive assembly. ... show more

For the cost this is a nice desk set. It was easy to assemble and set up, and the directions are easy to understand. My husband was impressed with the quality. It has a 25 inch clearance underneath for a desk chair so keep it in mind with desk chairs that have arms. The quality is not the same as hard wood and I feel like I need to be a little careful to not scratch up the finish, but after a month of use it is still in great shape and works fine. I keep Monitors and a keyboard on mine. I would use a desk top protector for the top surface if you are looking to use this as a craft table. ... show more

I was super excited about this desk and things started out good until we got to the long support boards on the bottom. The metal cams and the screw peg portion - better be careful when using your screwdriver. Don’t push the cam in too far and don’t try to tighten it much. Ours pulled right out of the wood when we tightened it and broke the wood hole. We tried to drill a hole and use a screw to hold it together - the wood split almost halfway up the leg post. ... show more

Let me first say, that this delivery took over 3 weeks to get to me... Aside from that, the quality of this desk is extremely poor. Every piece is particle board, which is very flimsy. The smell that it gives off has still not dissipated and is terrible to breathe in. During the assembly, the corner ripped right off, without much force. The filing Cabinet came damaged, with the corner chipped. Upon removal of part # stickers, the paint came right off with the sticker. I anticipate that this desk will only last about a year or so before it starts to sag and warp. I paid a good amount of money for this and I definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND this purchase to anyone else. I love my desk and cabinet! I saw this exact one on another site for almost double the price. When I saw it on Amazon I didn’t wait! I snagged it. The only downfall about this product is with the company XPO who delivers it. Mine was almost a month late. I do understand and the delay from manufacturer etc. what annoyed me was no one called to tell me it was delayed.
