I am a bit disappointed. Here are the highlights, but mostly the low lights. "Durable and sustainable engineered wood" from the description is just marketing speak for cheapest of the cheap, fragile wood particle board. Every single piece... Except the back, which is basically cardboard. Packed rather poorly with cheap version of styrofoam leaving hard to clean, clinging styrofoam particles and residue all over each piece.. Relatively easy to assemble with decent hardware, at least. Overall, a disappointment... For the price I expected more quality and sturdiness. We put together two of these. Really one person could have done it except for lining up the side pieces with the base to turn the cams -- because of the front "toe" both sides had to be lifted together. Note that there is a top and bottom to the backing piece. The center dimples need to line up with the fixed center (not centered) shelf. These look very nice in my craft nook! We bought the matching desk first. Fell in LOVE with the desk and decided to get the bookshelf. Seems like they are from two different vendors but they are both from Bush. The shelf is small. I'm 5'4 and this thing only stand a tad bit higher than me. My husband who is 6'1 can easily look on top of the shelf. It's also a bit flimsy but we only use it for light decorative things so I guess it doesn't matter. I love the shelf and the color matches perfectly to the desk but as far as durability.. This was the perfect size for my son's room. I needed a cherry colored bookcase which was hard to find at an affordable price. The bookcase is not as wide as most so look at the measurements carefully. I needed a narrower bookcase to fit between 2 windows so it was perfect for me. The quality is very nice for the money. Thanks for this opportunity to share my opinion of this product. The book case was a beautiful match to my cheery furniture I Had and the measurements fit to a tee. It was easy to assemble and feels sturdy. The only draw back was the panel on the back Was folded and not very strong.
