This cabinet is heavy and solid. I love the look. It arrived well-packaged with no damage. All pieces were included and well-labelled, and assembly instructions were easy to follow. Not too terrible to assemble and a nice somewhat unique finish vs what’s available in most ready to assemble furniture. Sort of like IKEA and West Elm had a furniture love child. Smaller than I was expecting but can still hold legal size folders, so that was nice. Has a nice lock that only allows you to open one drawer at a time so it won’t tip over. I always use wood glue on all joints of RTA furniture, makes it more sturdy and less likely to fail when moved around. Would definitely recommend for this. Box came pretty trashed by UPS, but was pleasantly surprised that there was no damage to the product inside - nicely protected. ... show more

Took forever to put together and few pieces were messed up. The drawers also don’t stay closed, but it was to much of a hassle to send back. They do look good.

This looks nice, but the bottom drawer has busted out and the cabinet came with only two metal runners to hang files on, making it possible to use only one drawer to hang files. I tried to contact customer service but was told they are no longer listed as an Amazon distributor. Disappointed for the price I paid. ... show more

    • It is particle board, but the most well constructed particle board item I have ever seen

This is a nice looking item. This was for my wife's office so I did not want to get the ugly metal filing cabinet. For a decently handy guy with a few tools, it took several hours to put together. The instructions are quite good, and the attention to detail of the fittings is really good for a mass-produced item, but there is a lot to put together to complete the assembly. And yes, it is particle board, but the sides and top are about double thickness to the usual particle board garbage. I would say about 4 cm thick. The finished product is quite heavy, and the guides for the drawers and other hardware are significantly higher quality than typical particle board construction items. Due to its design, hardware and the way it goes together, I believe that it will last for years, unless it gets wet/moist, then we all know what happens to particle board. If I were to buy another file cabinet, I would probably go with the metal filing cabinet and place it in the closet. ... show more

I've had this for over a year I believe. It's a great piece. I use it as an "end table" beside my bed. I bought this because it looks like a small dresser or oversized end table and doesn't stick out like a sore thumb. The drawers have a safety mechanism where if one is open the other one won't. Which is great feature if you have kids, it's anti tip. It's heavy! Build it where you want it to sit. I got it on sale but I'd buy it again full price in a heartbeat. Looks great, easy to assemble (a lot of screws, but not bad), good instructions/drawings, easily handles my HP OfficeJet Pro 8020 on top. As others have written, after assembly the drawers wouldn't close all the way. I tried the recommended fix video, which didn't work. Removed the "Anti Tip Wedge" from each drawer and voila!
