From my experience, these pants run very small. Waist/jean size is 34. Bought large which is supposed to fit waist size 34-36 however I could barely button these. Additionally, these pants have regular 'push through' style buttons as oppose to snap. The hole was barely cut enough to get the button through. Not the most convenient option while on a mountain with layers and gear on. Pants quality was great and the number/style of pockets were desirable. I was really shocked by how good these pants were for being so cheap. I got rid of my old volcom pants for these. They are super breathable if you want with a crotch vent that goes all the way up and over from each thigh. They have just enough lining that in 30*F weather, I was sweating with nothing but underwear. Not heavy at all. Super comfy, nice fit, a little baggy, I am 5'9, 190lbs, 36 waist with 30 inseam. Great quality stuff from burton as always, only true downfall is that just above crotch to waist, they are a little tight. The waist is good, just right below that. First of all - I’m a winter gear junkie and I try everything until I find the what i like the best. What can I say. This is my second pair - and when these are worn or I gain more covid weight (current situation) - I’ll buy them again. I haven’t gone skiing this year but I walk my 2 huskies 30min 2x/day and snow blowing in the Chicago area. I’ve had these on with only jeans on in -10 temp and -25 windchill and didn’t feel a thing! I read multiple reviews, and these are supposed to be the best. These run wide and and boy these do run long. The waist is a little larger than 36" and has no adjustable straps, so you will also need an elastic belt. I'm 6'0, 160 and even with a belt that rode high on my waist in full snow hiking boots the ends of the pant still dragged intermittently, and with the belt so high the crotch was cramped. I'll be returning these and getting a medium if I get another pair of these. It was warm at the 20s, which I expected. It would be nice if the bottom of the pant had a Velcro cinch or something so I could have it right around the boot and also have it fit loose. ... show more

Pants are great, warm, durable, waterproof. Fit wasn't great for me but that's not a knock on the pants. I'm 6'2" wear size 32 usually, I bought the Large and they are like a 36 waist, no elastic or way to tighten them. So I wear a belt, not a big issue.

The front pocket area is good for some items like some cards etc. definitely not for cell phone. The waist straps are velcro type but the adjustability is limited. So make sure your size is correct cause the adjusting wont help. Its a little thin so its best to wear something under if its really cold. ... show more

While many reviews mentioned order a size up, if you are wearing multiple layers or jeans, sure order a size up, but if your are wearing it with just base layers then a regular size will probably fit fine. I ordered a size up but not I need a belt and wanted to use base layers and then they are too big. ... show more

I can't stress enough how happy I am with this purchase. These pants are warm, comfortable, stylish, have plenty of pocket space... they're great snowboard pants (and, I'm guessing would work for skiing too). I'm looking forward to the next snowseason so I can use them again!
