I'm a fair to medium skinned Caucasian woman and I decided that I was going to try to get a tan this Spring/Summer. I usually burn, so I purchased this Burt's Bees After Sun Soother after it came up as a 'must-have' product for the Summer. I haven't used it on any serious sunburns, but I have used it when I've gotten a little pink. I am familiar with my skin and how it burns and how long it takes to heal, and I have to say that I genuinely believe that this has helped to heal those slightly pink burns I've received on my body. I did not put this on my face because I have rosacea and have to be SO careful about what I use on my face to prevent a reaction. The only thing I don't like about it is that it smells very medicinal. I was hoping for a nice coconut smell, or the smell of suntan lotion, but it smells like arthritis cream. I got this and put it on an amazing sunburn I got, since I'd seen reviews saying it was absolute magic for sunburns. Well, its a good lotion, but I don't know that it helped that much with the sunburn. I still had some peeling afterward. Always heals my skin quickly and it is oh so moisturizing without being slimy or sticky after. It just melts into the skin. It must be a new formula since the smell is a little different. There was something about the old smell that was so good! But this one is ok.
