First off, I am so addicted to the regular Burts Bees peppermint lip balm. I always have a tube of it in a pocket or bag somewhere because it's so dry here and you've just got to protect yourself. But having that on my lips made it hard to wear lipstick at work. So the tinted balm is literally the BEST! I have olive skin and bought the Red Dahlia color, which looks fantastic. It's sheer, so I don't look too made up, but definitely adds nice color. II also smooth it around the edges of my lips, like overlining, to make my lips look a little fuller... the balm is sheer enough not to look too made up, but adds a really nice hit of color and polish. Also, and this might not be something you want to do every day, but one day at work I had to go to an unexpected meeting and of course felt like I needed just a little touch up to look fresh... the red dahlia balm worked great as a cream blush on my cheeks too! I bought Rose , and wanted color without having to use lipstick.I like that it is moisturizing and pigmented.It’s doesn’t glide on like butter like other lip balms or Vaseline, which is a good thing in my opinion, because it stays on better that way, even after eating.You have to go over your lips many times to get the color to show well enough because of the wax like consistency, which isn’t difficult .It’s not hard to apply. My photo without the red lanyard is me without anything, photo with my whole face is after applying, and the last photo with the red lanyard and no face is after 5 hours, and after eating food and drinking coffee.I’m very happy with it, and happy that it was a 2 pack!Price is good for the product, especially with the sale ... show more

I am obsessed with chapstick. I usually use the Chapstick brand black label tubes. I came across this item and have a new favorite! Some chapsticks are waxy and almost thick. 10 Stars because Burt's Bees does not test on animals. It is nice, but you have to put a lot on to get a decent tint. I don't like dark lips as I am very pale skinned, but this did take several coats on me to be noticeable. There is another brand I like better that has a stronger shade of red (also cruelty free) and you get twice as many for the price, so I most likely will not buy again. However, I like to support companies that do not test on animals, so I will give them 4 stars. ... show more

I love that it gives a natural lipstick look without the mess and it hydrates. I haven't tried any other shade, because I'm a creature of habit.
