This lotion is wonderful! I have very sensitive skin and have been struggling to find something that doesn't upset my skin but also does what it's intended to do. This lotion makes my skin so soft and hydrated but does NOT upset my skin in the slightest. Because my skin is starting to calm down, the redness and hyperpigmentation is less noticeable. BUT... this bottle. Burt's Bees, you have a wonderful product trapped in this terrible bottle. I had to press the pump for about 5 minutes before a single drop came out the first time. I almost gave up.. I would have most days but I was feeling stubborn. I'm glad I kept up with it because the lotion is wonderful. This face wash is great and so gentle. I’ve had acne for 10+ years and use this once a day in the shower and my acne is very minimal. Not saying it’s because of this soap but I think it definitely helps. Very mild smell also, not too strong.

As someone with incredibly sensitive, dry skin, finding a face lotion that is genuinely gentle on skin has taken me literally years. I've used every brand under the sun, and this is the only night cream I've ever used that did not burn my skin or eyes. Very neutral scent and leaves my skin feeling moisturized in the morning without a greasy, heavy feeling. My only complaint about this product is the consistency of the lotion itself. The first time I purchased it, the cream was somewhat thick and creamy and worked wonderfully. The last 2 times I've purchased, it has been incredibly runny and almost seems watered down, to the point when I opened the lid, a lot of the product splashed out as if I had spilled a cup of water. I thought maybe it had gotten warm in transit or separated so I gave it a stir and stored it somewhere cooler, but unfortunately no change. I am beginning to wonder if this is just a fluke or a different formula. I will probably wait for the price to drop before justifying giving it another try. I’ve been using this face lotion daily for 10+ years. I have combination skin - and this works perfectly for that dry/oily balance. It is very lightweight, absorbs immediately, and has clean ingredients! What I appreciate about it most is that it is truly fragrance-free! I am allergic to scents and I had to try many “fragrance-free” or “scent-free” lotions to find one that didn’t have any odor whatsoever. I’m sure most ppl reading this review will have no idea what I’m talking about - but for those who have a super sensitive nose like I do, you get it! There is NO odor!!!     • SLS-Free Cream Cleanser & No Paraben & Phthalates
Style: Cream Cleanser
This is a thick white non-soapy, non-foaming cream cleanser that comes in a tube. So, just a heads up if suds or lather is what you would rather prefer. It is mainly natural ingredients, leaping bunny certified (meaning it is cruelty-free) & responsible resourcing-it states all that on the back of the tube. My skin gets more reactive especially in winter with dry indoor heating and cold outdoor winds. I need a cleanser that is fragrance-free and isn't foaming so it doesn't strip my skin of moisture or make it rough. I have mature older type skin and no difficulties with this but very oily skinned or acne-prone might require/need something else-remember if it is lather you want this doesn't foam, it is cream based.. And, if you are new to a product or have sensitive or rosacea skin it might be prudent to test it out slowly to see how your skin adjusts and/or reacts and heed your skin's response. And it also states "on the tube" to avoid contact with eye area but then "any" soap, cleanser and/or shampoo, with the exception of baby shampoo maybe, could sting if you get it in the eyes. I use eye-makeup remover specifically made for that purpose to cut-down on irritation. This cleanser contains aloe which adds some moisturizing properties. If I am wearing transfer resistant long-wearing makeup I remove it first with micellar water or a makeup remover tissue. That way I don't have a lot of gunky makeup on my face mixed in with cleanser that doesn't always rinse off that well (it's not exactly a makeup remover that's why I use something else first to remove makeup prior to cleansing). Then I dampen my face first and apply a small amount of cleanser to clean my face working it in circular motions with my fingertips. The cleanser is rather thick but I have found removing it with a damp washcloth works well. I allow my face to dry then apply treatment or moisturizer (always use sunscreen during the day). For someone that had former skin issues my skin looks better and gets noticed. It is an economical way to keep my face clean and there are no parabens or phthalates in this cleanser either. I wouldn't use a highly foaming cleanser or something with salicylic acid because it doesn't suit my skin type but I use this because quite simply it did the job. And even if it wasn't a go to for me there are others for who it might be. ... show more
