For the price you pay I doubt you could find something better. I would actually choose this scope over the Leopold vx freedom for sure and that is over twice the price. Both have a lifetime warranty. You could definitely spend 3-4 times more and get a much better scope but the glass and clarity on these is very good and will be more then enough to take shots most will never even attempt on game. The one hit is it says fog resistant not fog proof. Haven't had any issues yet but if I do I will be sure to update this review. ... show more

Got to give the review five stars because the Burris scope is awesome. As usual I have about six of these, but the packaging from the seller was horrible stuffed in a box with no padding at all so I can give him though product five stars and the packaging to.

    • Stubby Main Tube...might not suit you with long action bolt guns

I bought this scope for a Browning A-Bolt 25-06 Long Action. I was able to mount it to that rifle but the cone on the objective end was against the ring and the eyebox was dead against the other ring. I had no eye relief adjustment left and it just felt a little weird...just not enough main tube left to get the proper eye relief. I am not docking any stars for that; I could have switched out my bases for a full rail but chose not to. But, I loved the scope and put it on my Ruger American Bushmaster 450 with 1" Warne vertical rings...perfect. I boresighted it in my backyard...it was bullseye at 15 yards. I normally boresight 2" low at 15 yards but decided to leave this scope alone until I hit the range. The ballistic E3 reticle is appealing...I probably won't need the crosswind hatches for a 450BM but... This was my first Burris and I liked the form and fit. The glass seemed clear; I can't really rate the glass until it sees a cold December morning but it seems very clear and high quality. In fact, I liked this one so much I bought a Fullfield II for the 25-06. Arrives today. ... show more

This is an excellent set it and forget it scope for the money and even up to a 500 dollar price point I don't think u can beat it for a hunting scope I have 3 of them. And this is coming from a guy who also owns some scopes that are way more expensive than this one and few European $$ scopes.

Always been a Nikon fan but 2.5x10 nikons are getting harder to find. I just thought I'd try one of these.This is a really nice scope for the money. Will be looking for more.
