Bought this as a gift for my nieces. It was easy to put together and is very sturdy as it’s holding up against a 5 year old and a 4 year old. There wasn’t a smell. All the parts were in the box. The color was spot on to the pictures. I wish I snapped some pictures after building.

Very sturdy. I love the end storage. No one has slept in the trundle bet yet. It doesn't shake. Very solid. Got it for my grandson to sleep on top bunk and his parents on the bottom when home for a visit. It DOES take a good 4 hours to put together. Needs 2 people with patience,and an agreement in advance, to not kill each other. It's marked very well , part A B C and so on, however there are ALOT OF PIECES. You will need a big area to put it together in and a drill with bits and some screwdrivers... 1/10/24 The trundle bed slept the baby well. I packed pillows at the end so he wouldn't crawl off during the night. It works very well, that was while he was not walking. Now that he's almost 2, I let him sleep on the double bed part, I put bumpers on each side, and he's never fell out and can hold and slide to get out of bed by himself. I keep stuff sitting on the stairs of it, so he hasn't realized it's climbable! I forbid anyone to tell him it's a bunk bed too! He's just 2 so he doesn't question it. Lol. But it won't be long. I keep the steps covered in toys. I still love this bed.

Not hard to assemble, but the wood is soft and once constructed it's not firm. The trundle needed reinforced as after assembly and moving it under the bottom bunk I felt as though I was going to yank the trundle frame apart when pulling it out. Had to buy extra supporting angle pieces and install on trundle frame, yet it's still somewhat flimsy. We've 6 grandchildren who only stay occasionally so we'll be fine, but if this was an everyday use bunk beds for two or three 80lb+ kids, I'd probably recommend something more stout.

This is a cheaply made bed and not as sturdy as I expected. First of all there were several pieces that were scratched or had chunks out of. Not good quality as expected. The instructions were strickly pics and sometimes difficult to interpret. The stairs go on the opposite side as stated. Once put together the bed looks nice and my 3 and 4 year old love it, but I hope it holds up for them for a few years. It is a bit shakey when they are climbing the stairs and getting onto the beds. It is probably a good bed for the money. I probably would have had to spend at least twice the money for a solid, sturdier bed. I did check out otheres and they all seem to be about the same quality. The steps were an important feature for us to have as opposed to a ladder. We have had this bed up and in use for a couple of months now .

My only complaint was that the shipping time for this bed was unacceptable. It took a month to get here. That being said, the company was responsive in their messages and worked with me to make sure we were taken care of. I appreciated that as their responsiveness and professionalism was reassuring to product quality. The bed itself is very sturdy. My husband said it was not difficult to put together (instructions were not as bad as some other reviews made it seem). He even modified it so the shelving would be on the other side to work in the room, and the materials were sturdy enough for him to work with. My kids are so happy with this bed. The guard rail is a good size. The bookshelf is deeper and taller slots than I thought it would be (perfect for functionality a fitting larger kids books). It is just overall a fantastic purchase and definitely worth the money and the time it took to get here. Just buy it!

Just put it together yesterday so I can’t comment on longevity but it seems well made. I’d estimate 4 hours for one person to assemble including sorting all parts first - hard to say as I had kids “helping” and stopped for dinner etc. the only time I truly needed help was putting the top bed up. It’s a big job (as expected) but instructions were clear and everything is labeled. It says not to use power tools but I did for attaching the mattress support slats as that would have taken forever without - no issues but just be mindful and don’t overtighten. Two minor complaints- the stairs are particle board and the corners are sharp. I anticipate someone whacking a shin. Also the mattresses don’t fit tightly (standard twin mattresses - different brands). I may try to put a pool noodle in the gap so every toy that comes to bed doesn’t get lost.
