I purchased a smaller rug to lie on the deck, just outside the sliding patio door. I had this black rubber thing which is good for our Pac NW rainy season, but in the summer, it gets too hot to walk on. The rug was great! It held up to all of our in and out, seven days per week. It was comfortable to walk on, didn't scoot around on the deck with the quality backing, and it cleaned up easily with the broom or the hose for the bigger messes. This fall, I cleaned it and let it dry out, then put it just inside the front entry door. I'm ordering a 3x5 rug to put just inside the patio door now that the rainy season is back. This rug is a bit more expensive than some others, but considering the wear and tear it took from people, two large dogs and a cat over this summer, I expect several good years before having to replace. ... show more

With dogs and kids, and beautiful wood and slate floors, these are great indoor entry mats: not ugly, and absorbent. I put more decorative small rugs or mats next, so entries look attractive but catch outdoor material.

OK, I haven't had this mat for 24 hours yet but absolutely LOVE it for a number of reasons. Delivered within 24 hours of order. Non slip so I don't worry about tripping and my dogs can't drag it through the house. It's easy on my bare feet, unlike many 'waterhogs'. Great water catcher - it poured all night long, and still raining. Dogs came in wet and a little muddy and the mat caught most. The color and design fit will with my decor (I bought the Brittney Leaf in Camel). My only negative is that I would love this same mat in 3 x 5 but it doesn't seem Bungalow makes it.
