I own many bully tools so when I needed a specialized rake, I looked here for bully tools rakes first and wasn't disappointed. This isn't a light duty flexible tine rake, rather it's a solid and sturdy tool for moving lots of material in a hurry. I just used it to gather pine bark in my flowerbed for disposal, and spread new bark in its place. The tines are fairly rigid and do a great job of moving the bark into piles, piling rocks, and gathering wet leaves and pine needles. The handle (long on mine) is super strong and I was able to carefully get right next to the rose bushes and clear around them without damaging the plants. Like all of my other bully tools, the design is more industrial strength rather than delicate light weight. And my fellow Americans building this tool and the others do a great job and I'm happy to support them. ... show more

Purchased 4/17/17. Came with fiberglass handle, not hickory as other reviewers have stated. 1 star deducted due to 2 bent tines, however I was able to straighten them and have had no issues. Would purchase again, and will be replacing other tools I have with Bully Tools, as the quality seems superior. ... show more

I'll write more later if I change my mind, but I found this rake to be very heavy and, therefore, a challenge for me to use. I am a 64-year-old female and I do all my own yard work, hike, use my snowblower so I am in good shape. I also found that the tines being roundish instead of flat like most rakes doesn't work the way that I am used to. Also the handle is shorter than most rakes so that I can't find a fulcrum point on it to help with the weight. VERY well made. ... show more

Although very sturdy, one of the tongs was welded crocked (twisted) and I cannot bend it back to the right position. Also much heavier than I thought it would be. All of the weight is in the handle. I also expected the tongs to be flat metal like most rakes but these are like clothes hangers with a sharp pointed end. These would be better to dig into the ground or for light weeding, but I just wanted something to rake leaves in the fall. Not what I wanted. Oh well, my search continues.This small rake is heavier than my full scale/size rakes. ... show more

I have owned many lawn tools over the years and can say without a doubt, this is the best built rake I have ever seen. In fact, it worked so well, I purchased the larger version. It will last a lifetime and if not, Bully will replace it. I proudly own many of their tools and will be back for more.
